400 fps I'd shoot .28's... though 400 is pretty hot for an MP5.
Don't use BB's from Canadian tire or Walmart... they'll destroy your gun. You might just have to order them online to get good ones.

I would say .25s as well, tho if you wanna do 400 fps, you will have do a spring upgrade. Btw a 120 spring is what you need

don't be like every other retarded noob, 400fps is a limit, it's not a goal. Play with the gun for a while before deciding if you want to upgrade the gun to do 400fps, for indoors .20g bb's are fine, for outdoor .25 would be the minimum.
You don't need to upgrade the gun right away, just feel it out and see if you even like playing airsoft at all, you might not even like the feel of the MP5 either, so give it time 400fps with .20s is the field limit for AEG's at most places in canada, 400fps with .25 is not the same as 400fps w/.20, do the math

My CYMA AKs-74u is shooting a very respectable 360-380 FPS with .20g BB's. With my BBBastard .28's, it's deadly accurate, and has awesome range. Like others said, 400 FPS is a limit, not a goal.

I run .28's in my pimped-out Broxa. Runs more like ~350 fps with .20's than whatever it is that they say on the website. But FPS is not everything- 350 is fine- just shim the mechbox and change the hopup (and barrel too if you have the $ for it).
Get your BB's from the BBBastard (ASC name "Scarecrow"), or just buy them at the next game you go to- most games have BBBastard reps or other suppliers. Just ask on the game thread before you head out. Also search around on the forums for other stuff about the Broxa, like this thread: Airsoft Canada And the Broxa is 100% TM compatible, if you were wondering. |

360-380 is the sweet spot for AEG's. That speed with a good hop-up unit and barrel and the BB's stabalise real nice in flight.

Well, My AKs-74u is bone stock, and as my first AEG, i can't really relate it to any other guns, but for a China clone, Its AWESOME. I'd even venture out to say that it's one of the best clones out there, especially in terms of CYMA models.

IIRC the Aftermath stuff out of the box is around the 370-380FPS mark. I think they may be quoting with either .12's or taking the "highest" fps outputted instead of the average.
First thing you should do though is take it to a gundoc to get regreased and shimmed (reliability thing). For BB's .25's or .28's.

The Broxa is an MP5
The Kraken is an AK-47.
