Yes, but making another one would probably cost about the same since Huang is selling the PEQ15 for about 95$ shipped, having a aluminum body on the S-LAP would cost the same thing as buying the STAR ones.

I forgot to add to reply to pivot, the visible IR's would be useless unless you got real NVGs, and IR's on an airsoft PEQ? Why not just buy a real PEQ? lol
Another note, only you would be the only one with NVGs and a IR laser..

Well for starters, as stated, the Star ones are sold out everywhere.

First, visible IR's?!? The reason they are IR is so they are invisible to the naked eye. Secondly, lots of us run Night Vision hence the need for an IR laser. And lastly, buy a real PEQ...for a few thousand dollars? no thanks.

A buddy of mine runs the star d-lap with 2 lasers in it and it works like a charm.

I'm also looking for the D-lap.(want to mod it also) I have the IR laser ready to install ,maybe I try the S-lap .Not too many have NVG ,but it is ever sweet, to point out targets in the dark to your partner.

Oops, didn't know I posted it that way, what I meant was having the aser visable under the NVG.

I'm putting my vote on the VFC PEQ as the base for the build.

How powerful is that green laser? Does the diode have an IR filter in it to prevent eye damage?

I've looked into a green laser for my gun before, but I've concluded that a lot of the airsoft ones are not safe enough to warrant their use.

Also, IR lasers are a terrible idea for airsoft guns, to put it plainly. Not only do you not know if your eyes are recieving direct IR radiation, but IR lasers can burn a retina very easily as well. There's a reason why visible lasers have IR filters built in. I'd strongly suggest sticking with <= 5 mW visible lasers with the IR filter for airsoft.

A cool effect isn't worth making someone blind.

5mw 525nm Green lasers take over 60 seconds of continuous exposure to cause any permanent damage to your visual acuity so I wouldn't worry about that so much if you are ridiculous enough to not blink and stare into the beam as such. And on that note, if you are using VFC cases i'm definitely down with that Huang

Are you sure about the 60 second time limit?

Here's a quote from Wikipedia about laser safety...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_safety

Quote:
Thus, it appears that a brief 0.25-second exposure to a <5 mW laser such as found in red laser pointers does not pose a threat to eye health. On the other hand there is a potential for injury if a person deliberately stares into a beam of a class IIIa laser for few seconds or more at close range. Even if injury occurs, most people will fully recover their vision. Further experienced discomforts than these may be psychological rather than physical. With regard to green laser pointers the safe exposure time may be less, and with even higher powered lasers instant permanent damage should be expected.
And in any case, I stand by my point that IR lasers are a bad idea.
