If you're using the mask (if you can bring the lenses up to snuff, safety-wise) you might want to gut a filter canister so it allows air through unimpeded. Once again, usually contains charcoal and will create a glorious mess: don't do this near your wife's clean linens :P (I'm just sayin')

I own an M-17A2,M-40,M-42 The best one out of the lot is the m-42 ,you can hook comms to it and it has tinted lens covers the cannister can be mounted to the mask or to the blower NBC pre -filter in modern armoured vehicals plus they have alot of look cool value !
