What are the BEST kneepads?

Bijans +1.Its like kneeling on pillows.But from what I heard the military version of the bijan's CB has been discontinued.Please correct me if im wrong.Alta's also make a LOOK-A-LIKE.But they feel the same when kneeling.

i was always under the assumption that ALTA Brand Kneepads were the industry standard... as they should be cause the two pairs that i have owned have ruled (i sold the first pair to get a different colour scheme)

I hope the CB Bijan's weren't disco'd, I need 2 more pair for my team. I'll still find some used/issued ones, but nothing beats that new fresh-gear smell.

Bijans in all sorts of colours are pretty easy to find on eBay. I've owned them in woodland, universal and CB. While they're fantastic pads, I suggest trying them out against the regular Altas (not the lookalike-Bijans) for fit. I found that the Bijans had a tendency to slide down on me, while the Altas rarely do.

After my first season wearing combat pants with integrated pads I swore I would never wear a set of strapped pads again. The pads never fall out of place, and are a pleasure to rest your weight on. I have a set of the MC version ones from EBB, but I would pay the extra $ to get a couple of quality sets in various colors.

Bijans are nice. Much better than the hatch, or BHI, or ALTA. BUT, I fucking HATE how they need to be snailed. They also make the backs of my knees run like Niagra..

So true I have a MC set with the integrated pads and they're amazing! Always in place, comfortable and no tight straps wrapped around your leg or elbows. The only thing is I've only seen it with multicam which I don't mind but it'd be nice to find with different patterns. Highly recommend if you don't mind MC

In the defence of the Hatch, they are cheap and offer OK protection.

I'm using my pair since 2001 and I'm ok with them.
If they are positionned and tied correcly, they don the job very well. They don't fall down on me too often and stay in place.

The trick, like most of you know, it to attach the top strop loose (first velcro) and the bottom one tight. It won't pinch the bag of the knee that way and stay in place.

And they look old school cool.

I wear a set of Hatch knee pads on occasion or when it's wet out. They are comfortable for me and only have minor slip/movement. Most of the time it's in my head cause when I tug them up, they don't move all that much. The plastic pad that contacts the ground is fairly large and lets you easily take a knee on just about anything. The foam padding is also good in terms of absorbing impact.
