Jugglez showed me the other day that Mad Bull is developing a silencer type tracer unit with bright muzzle flash. (unlike the TM ver2 where they tried to suppress it)
It's just a prototype but it will look cool even if the muzzle flash could potentially give your position away. More realistic I guess. +1 on the IR BB's lol
I put a tracer unit on my 249, LED's in the box mag, super easy to do and it rocks lol |

My TM version 2 tracer unit works great. I also have the mag unit too but i think some moisture got to the mag and the led will not always work..popped her open and cleaned up all the contact points and where the led sits and it was working again but eventually it happened again...might need to solder the led in real good and increase conductivity. Could be a few things though..as for a comparison, the Tm illuminates much nicer because if you are not shooting full auto the mag led does not charge the rounds up in the gun so the charge on those bbs wears off. So through my experiences I would say go for a TM if you are having a hard time deciding on the two

Could be yet another Canada-made Airsoft accessory. I have half the solution (the guts), just need the outside shell. I don't "do" plastics/metal manufacturing (yet) 8) |

Don,
How about mocking it up to retro-fit a commonly available suppressor? (i.e. one of the Madbull ones Jugglez sells) Tys |

That's not a bad idea!

Be really nice if you can put it in a Gemtec G-5 that they carry. A buddy just put our TM Ver.2 's into the Gemtec Halo cans, and are they sweet. They fit over almost any flash hider out there now.
How much do you think your tracer unit by itself will be (ball park), PM me please.

That JG Tracer unit is only $37.50 USD. What's the scoop on "silencers" and customs? I would order one of those if I knew customs would let it through. Also, how do I find out shipping from Ebairsoft as there is nowhere in the checkout process to select method of shipping?
I also found it on RSOV for $32.84 USD and shipping is only $6.00 HERE Last edited by Grumpy; June 29th, 2009 at 22:25.. |

EBairsoft, also called ebaybanned aisoft has free shipping, anywhere in the world built into their prices.
Suppressors(silencers) are restricted to import though.

Thanks for the info, but I read a few threads here and a few regulars said that they have ordered silencers with no probs, most times they get through customs without a hitch. Additionally, since this has no trades on it and it is called a "Fluorescent BB Tracer", I am hoping it gets through as an "Illumination Device" vice a "silencer"...I ordered one...here's crossing fingers.
