Slides -ARE- compatible, right? As in... WE slide can be put on a TM, and vice versa?

I've heard different stories....some had better success than others....I think it might have something to do with manufacturing tolerance....
I think in general their Hi-capa line are more compatible with TM than their 1911 lines....probably because they are closer to being copies. 1911 from WE AFAIK are based on working of their Hi-Capa which is somewhat copied from TM, but not fully. In Canada it's cheaper to just get a slide anyway, since you can bring that in, if you really want to use this for parts it'll be so expensive because it comes with a gun....and there are enough Hi-Capa slide makers out there now that if you are building a 1911 just get a Koba spacer and all those become usable.... |
