Stop being a jerk man. Ya he's 16. but he asked a question, and got his answer, we don't need more trashy threads. Some places actually let 16+ play with parental consent, so just back off.

Can't expect the airsoft sport to continue growing without recruits. you aren't born smart. you learn. Sometimes I just try to imagine, it was me, confused, no knowledge on airsoft, so I ask a forum, only to get MAJORLY flamed most of the time for not being born with the knowledge.

Kraken kid, as it's been said, upgradabilily is the selling point, if something should break on it, it will be easier to replace the parts.

Get the kraken
more potential behind it |

Get the kraken at least it has a metal barrel in it. My TF-16 is currently in pieces and it shot shit out of the box and semiautomatic fire selector doesn't really work until you move it in between full auto and semi. Good parts gun though now I have a spare gearbox, motor and a new battery for my kraken.
And please no backyard battles kid your making us look bad. If you manage to get an airsoft gun at sixteen just pink in the basement until you are 18 and ready to play in the fields or your parents allow you to play in the fields.Note Airsoft in Canada are more replica firearms than toy guns, DO NOT TAKE THEM OUTSIDE IN PUBLIC VIEW!!!!! Treat them like a real firearm!!!! Last edited by Kingsix; July 10th, 2008 at 03:12.. |

Yeah im kind of wondering the same thing, im tied betwen the two guns. The kraken has more metal parts, and is TM compatable, so finding upgrades and replacement parts will be easier, but out of the box, which one performs better? Not just in FPS, I mean accuracy, durability, RoF, etc, (all with .2g bb's).
Thanks, Jeff |

i have/had both tf16 and kraken.
get the kraken, it is a solid gun and with some minor upgrades it can last quite a wile. |

I have a Kraken as a loaner/backup (my primary being a CA M15A4) and I've fielded it a couple of times just to get a feel for it. It's a decent gun, certainly for its price. It shoots harder out of the box then even the big names like TM or CA. It's reasonably accurate as well, I was only using the iron sights and I was hitting what I was aiming at as often as could be expected. Not particularly creaky even with all the plastic, and metal barrel is a nice addition. It's surpisingly heavy for a mostly plastic gun and fairly well balanced. It's TM compatible even though I haven't done anything to it. I'm a realcap man so I bought a pile of Star realcaps and they fit in the gun just fine.
All in all, it's a solid gun for it's price and a good investment. If I had the choice of a Kraken plus a metal body and woodkit or a JG, I'd probably go with the Kraken, though obviously manufacturers like TM or CA or even G&P are still better. I'm not familar with the TF16 but I'd recomend the Kraken to anyone on a budget or just starting out. Kuro_Neko |

I cant tell you witch is better but heres my opinion on the tf 16. its a good gun. Powerful! But theres a couple of problems. The stock sucks, its plastic and jams alot, and the batery sucks. It doesnt last long at all. But the gun is pretty heavy, powerful metal gears, lasts long.

if you check at bass pro they now carry the Broxa Evolution which is aftermaths mp5 clone. It's got a metal gear box and its pretty solid with a lot of room for upgrades, it's basically a clone gun under a different name then we're used to so it will come down to whether you prefer an ak-47 as your starter or an mp5 as your starter
