I had a Guarder steel slide and it was HEAVY= very slow blowback, even with upgraded internals!

hey KEVORKIAN great feedback.
I also have a TM Clock 17 and had to change the slide as it broke see photo below. so i got the PGC Slide and im really happy with it and sounds really nice. I had to file down the Loading Nozzle see photo below. ( i think im going to file a little more than this photo) the black has started to wear away but not big deal really KEVORKIAN: not sure if you can help on this one. when I first got the glock it was so nice to use i loved running about with it more than my M4 AEG and i really want it get it working like it use to. im having problems with my loading Nozzle getting stuck forward. im not sure if the spring that pulls it back is crap or im just not using the rite grease/lube for it. can you recommend an upgrade part? Also what do you think of the Guarder Enhanced Recoil Spring Guide for MARUI Glock 17 Last edited by miowpro; June 10th, 2009 at 13:32.. |

I have just stripped down the nozzle to give it a good clean. I can see there is only one spring to push the nozzle back and two will not fit in with this valve. can you get a stronger spring? or a new valve what can fit two in or ill have to file dow nthe bit that stop a second one fitting in

I've never had to file ANY loading nozzle for any one of my 5 TM G17's...
Are you sure you are placing the spring (G26-11) in the correct slot on the blowback housing (G17-8)? My guess is that you have it on the wrong side!!! I'm using the stock G17 loading nozzle but I'm looking at replacing them finally with the newly released Airsoft Surgeon one: FYI - I only use the Guarder recoil spring...throw away the rod cause it's a piece of shit! I also upgrade the hammer spring with a Shooters Design.

I never did post those pics of the frame rails that require some filing for aftermarket slides (PGC & Boomarms)
PGC slide: PGC slide: Boomarms slide: Boomarms slide: Again, these are the areas that I filed in order for my TM G17's to function smoothly with aftermarket slides. These were taken before the final polish so they may look a little rough!

hmm thats wired i did not have to file anything on the Boomarms. thinking back it was really tight when i first put it on so i just pulled apart the PGC slide to make the gap wider and it was fine. maybe filing will do just make more space i guess both ways will work. but mine is on there nice
My loading nozzle was hitting the metal extractor part. so i had to fle a little off the edge and is fine now. also i have sorted the problem with it getting stuck forward i just gave it a good clean and it back to normal but still think i need a stronger nozzle string. so recoil springs: you think go for the Guarder one? i just had a look around and found the Shooters Design 150% Recoil Spring For Marui Glock 17 and this is only the spring. http://www.cobraairsoft.com/product_...oducts_id=4565 whats do you think? i might try it out if you say the Guarder rod is crap.. BTW, what spring are you using with the guarder stainless slide? I am using what I believe as the 200% spring from guarder and I don't find it sluggish at all....I also transplanted the spring onto guarder's steel recoil rod. I am also getting pretty good mileage out of a fill ~ 35+ shot per fill...

Get this one from Redwolf:
Product Code GDR-ACC-GLOCK17 Price (USD) $11.99 Throw away the rod cause it's junk! You can always order both the Shooters Design & Guarder and do some testing to see which one you have the most gains with! I just like the stronger recoil effect from the Guarder!

I have that, am actually using the rod, but a different spring that the gun came with from eHobby....the spring is actually a lot stronger than the spring that came with that rod...

I don't know if it will be strong enough, their 1911 spring was very weak compare to other springs that are available aside from the stock, and that the spring guide itself was poorly made. I am not a fan of their parts... |

Does the silver pgc slide for the tm glock 17 have a matte finish or like a shiny finish?
