I have a JG M4A1 and it has alway shot 380's with no problems to date, I have had it almost a year and put at least 8-10 bags of little bastards through it.

I would say most JG guns shoot 370-410

I think a chrony will be my next purchase. You guys have convinced me. I've spent enough time and money on my guns that I should at least know what they're good for in terms of muzzle velocity.

As for the MP5, I would normally agree that it's generally a CQB gun, although in airsoft, there's a fine line there. My most consistent and accurate gun at ranges is my RS Type 56. But this MP5 is quite comparable in accuracy, and can easily outrange it due to its high velocity. I'll insert the caveat that with an upgraded spring, the Type 56 would clearly be the superior weapon. I'm sure the same could be said of my other longer-barrel AEGs as well. My MP5 could easily be used for outdoor games.

As for CQB, we have no facilities nearby, and I can't really see myself participating in any such games in the foreseeable future. If it comes to that, then I can easily set up a gun for it. As stated in the original post, I want to eventually upgrade the gun with better internals, but I wouldn't rule out having a second, complete mechbox tuned to the high 300s that I could use for outdoor games and another tuned to sub-350 for indoors, should that become necessary.
