the STAR and the KA are different guns. the KA is the FAL the STAR is the L1A1.

I am 99% percent sure that KA also makes or will make an L1A1, I've seen it on their website.

I'll live with my "Argentine" full-auto FAL thank you very much.

The star body looks unusually sturdy but I'll hold judgment on the gearbox until I see it.

Alright, MAJOR development here, we put a prometheus MS110 in breakdowns FAL, shot 280fps. OK could just be a mislabeled spring right? Well I put the stock spring into someone's gun and its shooting 370fps now. And we put a pre-tested 388fps spring into the FAL and it still shot 280fps. So theres a VERY consistent 100fps leak somewhere because its only shooting +-5fps.
Best bet so far is the nozzle a bit loose, it may not be hitting the hopup rubber properly, but that usually means a greater variance in fps, so at this point I really don't know.

Sorry for bringing to life this old post...

I want to install on my KA Fn FAL a m110 spring and a inner barrel 6.02 to reach 420 FPS
Can somebody tell me if it is necessary to make some special modification on the gear box?
Somebody told me that I will need to change gears and piston because the m110 spring will break them.
