I picked up a folder version.. and typically carry it when I am in the field now.. it's just as handy and more compact. Though for sure... if I was still humping... I'd be carrying a 1902 vintage Artillerymans Falchion I picked up at a flea market in unissued original packing grease... what a nice little ( 20 inches long) limb loper... But then... I'm a little enamoured of things edged... I've been teaching Western Swordsmanship for over a decade.. and practicing it over 20 years

I keep a leatherman in one of the pouches in my best for those "incase of this" purposes but thats about it.
Ive been thinking of getting a rubber knife to attach to my vest, but well I carry enough crap on me as it is. I dont think I need anymore stuff poking me.

Rubber knives = fine. I have a rubber training knife I sometimes carry, but to tap a guy on the shoulder and tell him he's dead is way more fun. As for utility knives, I find a decent Swiss Army knife is more than adequate in the field. What I don't get are the idiots I see at airsoft games with anti-tank knives or bayonets strapped on themselves. What's the point in that?

I think dummy knives are cool I got killed with one at my first game and now I want one. I carry a real one tomohawk black tantoblade all that jazz for if I ever need one at a game.

The same reason some people have side arms they never use? But better, it can help you cut your way out of a perdicament, like getting tangled in the vines, or needing to unscrew various screws.
