All my tan coloring is through Krylon, their military line up, like the cans with woodland camoflage on it. The white was just some interior house spray paint, and I outlined the skull with a sharpie after.

What spartan dagger design do you mean? got a picture?

Hey Eddie, here are the pics I was writing about earlier. It looks fine on these chaps, my head is just not the right shape to fill out this helmet

O yeah check this out as a strap replacement for the IBH its for the ACH/MICH. It may work and its a hell of a lot cheaper then the oregonareo upgrade kit, but no pads.

Pricey! Are they any good man? I do want replacements, I thought about just getting some regular MICH straps though.

I hate you.
I wish I had a bloody cvc helmet.
so if any of you wankers have one, and it works (ie the actual comms system duh) TELL ME I NEED ONE!
I swear if I can get my soviet tanker helmet to work with our vehicles I'd wear that in the lav any day.

I was reading about those replacement straps from Ops Core a couple days ago on 10-8 and it seems like the X nape is the way to go as it's a bit more comfortable and the stability provided by the H nape is overkill unless you're jumping out of perfectly good airplanes.

Good to hear! Any other sources for the straps other than straight from the maker? prices just seem to be usualy better from retailers.

The X one looks like the canadian chinstraps...

Gentex also makes an X-harness type replacement chin strap for the MICH/ACH, you might want to get in touch with them and see if its any cheaper.

There's a guy on ebay selling his own version of that retention system. Its installed in my CVC helmet and it's pretty comfortable.

Incidentally the guy doens't seem to know what he's got or what it's worth.

edit - it's an SDS suspension in a CVC helmet, not custom.

Does anyony still manufacture the IBH (the real one that is ) as Dover's website has only a slight mention of it. Any info would be apreciated. Also Has anyone read/heard any comparisons to the MICH 2002 tc or what ever model is the side cut version to allow for a comms system ?
