I've checked out the AK's a bit, and they seem like a quite descent weapon. But i personally prefer the look of the M4A1, I know this might not be the best way to choose a weapon but as ive learned its alot about personal preference. I only wish I could get age verified to posibly purchase one from ASC Armoury.

There's the look, and there's dependability. The TM AK is one of the most dependable airsoft guns out there.

I went for dependability, and I really dislike V2 mechboxes.

In your case, get age-verified, go to games, rent/try guns, and then decide. Buying before trying is never a good idea.

Tricky since im about 9 hours away from winnipeg (which is where the nearest game is i believe), and 18 from toronto. I may try to get in touch with someone from winnipeg and find out when theres a game going on, or try to get to Xtreme Tactics and try a rental there. Thanks for the advice though Greylocks, every bit helps!

id recomend ics m4. iv had mine for almost 3 years and just encoutered my first serious problem. and all that is is a broken switch that i broke when trying to clean carbon deposits off. im now just upgrading the gun slowley. but so far it has been great. no major mechanicial hickups. and they come stock full metal and with a verry nice split gear box.
