CSOR is the Canadian Airborne pretty much, but like JTF2, you wont know anything about anybody in that unit, the gear, the weapons. all the juicy stuff.

The following is from "Canada's Secret Commandos" by david pugliese. Its a very good book detailing JTF2's past, and present, as well as training and other info. Highly recommend for you SF buffs. Here is a rough breakdown of the chapter about weapons and equipment.
JTF2 operators have two sets of equipment, for green and black ops. The green op is for SF missions and usually built around the C7 (canadian version of the M4), and the black for counter-terrorism or stealth built around the MP5 series. Each set is different from troop to troop depending on their personal preferences. SUBMACHINE GUNS- around the H&K MP5 series, used because of the increased accuracy and reliability, and that 9mm bullets are easier to use. they are usually the MP-5A2 or 3, or the MP-5SD with the built in silencer. HANDGUNS-the Sig Sauer line, as they are more reliable than the standard issue Browning pistol, thus allowing the operators to store a chambered round safely. Usually the P- 225, 226, 228, or 229. RIFLES- Use of the C7, becuase its considered more reliable than the american made M16 (ya, we beat them). The shorter C8 is used, and the M203 is often added. MACHINE GUNS- the C9 is used, and the General Perpose Machine Gun C6 is rumoured to be also used SHOTGUNS- the remington 870 and the H&K Benelli Super 90. SNIPERS- The canadian JTF2 have a wide variety of snipers available to them, and train with them extensivly. (the book also summarizs the mission in which a JTF2 operator took down a driver of a truck moving at an unknown speed... at 2.4 km, possibly a world record? this fact has been acknowledged by the the DoD). The .300 winchester magnum, .338 Lapua Magnum, Accuracy International AW sniper, PSG-1, McMillan .50, and M-82A1 Barrett .50 sniper. JTF2 also uses a number of sanitized wepons, so basically an operator can be seen using a AK, Uzi, whatever. they also make use of Surefire lights, CLAM, laser range finders, stun granades, and night vision. hope this was of help. Check out the book its really good, as well the same author wrote about the roles of different countries SF in the war on terror, including the british SAS, SBS, austrailian SAS, german GSG-9, american delta, polish GROM, so on and so forth.

two seconds on the dnd site.... http://www.cansofcom.forces.gc.ca/en/index_e.asp
Pip, JTF 2 doesnt use p90's, they use C8 SFWs and MP5's primarly. And, to everyone in general, if you dont know, dont start spouting things off... |

the JTF2 arent like navy seals for instance, they keep a low profile for more effective deployment, so digging up good info is hard.

So basically, as long as you don't carry an exotic firearm (G36, SA80) you'll do fine with firearms.
