Read my edit. Its not worth it, buy tm or something, they're not much more money then the tippmann and will be 100x better. Tippmann is not an airsoft company, so they dont have any experience in building airsoft guns, so no, it probably wont be very good.

$160 Canadian is what I am getting it for, I will be picking it up locally so the boarder stuff is not an issue.
Have you guys shot this actual pistol ?? If not, how do you know it is junk ?? Kind of like if it is not a Harley davidson it is junk, or is it really junk?? Kind of already got my mind made up. It is for plinking around the yard, that is it. Spent 12 years in the military crawling in the bush, not much in the mood to do that anymore. Just trying to get advice on lube. If someone thought I was going to have issues with this across the boarder, then why would that not apply to the other airsoft stuff?? Any other places in Canada sell full metal pistols ?? (for normal prices) I just bought the adaptor and am not happy to hear that what I wanted is junk. Can you give me some reasons why it is JUNK ?? And not to sound like a dink, but I am reading stuff like "PROBABLY NOT WORTH IT" ..... if you have shot it and KNOW it is, then let me know why, if not ... it is all just speculation and assumptions. Fine. Enjoy your 10 minutes of plinking while the gun works at 100 fps.
As for lube, 10 weight silicon from a RC hobby shop. It's used for shocks, they might call it shock oil. Btw, after you fill your gun with propane, put on a paintball mask. That way when the slide flies back at your face, you won't put out your eye with it. Have fun!

Shooting a gun one time doesnt mean its good. It might work once, but in the long term it'll probably become a paper weight. I wasted 180 bucks on a gbb once that shot fine for over a month, but then broke and can't ever be repaired, so now i have $180 paper weight.
AND DO NOT PLAY WITH IT OUTSIDE IN YOUR YARD! Im getting tired of people thinking its fine to take a highly realistic airsoft gun out in their backyard.... |

Guys RELAX, shit ... I live in Navan and own a 3 acre lot ... I am FINE in my backyard. Same as I was with my PB field.
And as for the propane comment, does the Airsoft Innovation Adaptor not work well??? According to this it works fine ... LINK HERE (have you not heard of this ?? ) No reviews talked about guns blowing up in peoples faces. GreenGas is basically odorless propane. Man, try not to get so BENT up. As I said, I am not a kid ........ let's have an adult chat !!! If you have a better all metal suggestion and a place in Canada to buy one ... please give me ideas or even better links (maybe a price guide) |

The AI Propane Adaptor is excellent, no worries. The comment mean't, the gun will break, so make sure you're wearing safety equipment when it does.

Do not play with it in your backyard. You're not the first person to say 'i have a big backyard'. Someone can still see you. Not only do you put yourself at risk, you put our entire community and our loved sport in huge risk. Thats why we get "bent up". Our community has been working very hard for years to safe gaurd the future of our sport. And people like you playing with your soft air garbage (sorry, but thats what it is), in your backyard threaten to undo all that hard work. So yes, i think we have the right to get "bent up". You ignore our advice and you expect us to jump up to help you? Read the FAQ section, then maybe we'll be more willing to be helpful.

For christ sake guys, I came here with a simple question.
May backyard is heavy wooded and my closest neighbour is about 5 clicks away ......... NO THEY CAN NOT SEE ME !!!! I am not stupid, I spent time in the military, hunted my entire life and have played paintball for over 10 years, I UNDERSTAND how folks react to this sort of stuff. They freak out over water pistols In PB, we face the same type of clown MAKING A MESS OF IT for everyone. I would not do that !!!!!!!!! Sooooooooo What Gas BlowBacks to you as USERS recommend that will be a good durable gun??? I am asking for help. DOn't tell me what I am buying is junk and then walk away ..... give me some suggestions on what full metal blowbacks are worth the money and I can get from within Canada. Brands ??? Best prices from the links on the site ??? (some give better prices when you talk to them) |

It was not meant to shit on you. Same for your location; the best help is available locally and we cant know unless you tell us. Trust me, you'll know if I flame you. Spray based lubricants may contain petroleum distillates, and those are to be avoided. You can get lithium grease at Canadian Tire, graphite grease is a bit harder to find but excellent for slides and moving parts, silicone oil = any of the better hobby shops in Ottawa. All 3 are safe for any airsoft gun. Silicone oil is necessary for gas guns. |

you have to talk to most of the retailers in canada for a full metal pistol. alot of us with full metal pistols bought them as a plastic pistol at first and then did the upgrade to full metal later. the problem with that aside from being difficult and time consuming to do is that doing an upgrade like that can push the end cost of the pistol well north of $500 depending on the gun and whats done to it. the vast majority of airsoft pistols are made mainly if not exclusively of plastic. kjw makes full metal ones though, they are not bad but no matter what you are going to be spending more than just $180 for a decent full metal pistol. plastic isnt as bad as it is made out to be, in many cases is can be very durable and just fine. airsofters tend to be a bit obsessive about looks and feel and complain about things made of plastic. for someone who is new i would suggest a gun made by Tokyo marui or one made by KSC. they are fairly common and parts can be found for them if something is to break. yes they will be plastic but they are quite durable and are not much more than what you were thinking of spending anyway. they will serve you well, and should you really hate the feel of it after a while you can always do the upgrade to full metal. i know i did the upgrade to my TM P226 and it was a real learning experience.
