Same. I shot the FN C1A1 for the first time when I was a cadet in the Argylls. I remember the change over. A lot of people didn't want to lose the FN's. When we went on exercises with the Yank's, they loved them too.

Who's taking orders for these?!

Id love to get one of these but Id like to know what kind of mechbox it has first. Does anyone know that yet? If its a tm version 2 or one of those plastic mechboxs I wont touch the thing. Im still not sold on the whole plastic mechbox idea.

Also would be sweet if it came with a metal body. I dont want to pay an extra 300 bucks to switch out abs with metal.

If it's a TM V2 there's no problem - they aren't bad. Anything else, however, I'd be a little suspicious of.

We deal direct with King Arms, so I'm happy to order them, but I would like to take a good long look at one of their guns to see if they are built well first.

As far as King Arms quality; if their Dragunov is a sample of what they can do, I would not mind taking a chance that their AEGs will be at least of decent quality.
HoJo? What is your best guess of a price, after import, of the long barrel model? I fully realize that may not be close to a final price, but it helps to budget in advance.

staring at the c1 I've got sitting in my lap, and the pics that are shown? eh close enough for me! I'm sure I can find someone that can make a wood kit for it.
but what I want to really know, is it damned heavy and you can club a baby seal to death with it like a real c1?

But selling a gun with a hicap makes much more sense for new players. Those that have enough spare cash to snag 6-8 lowcaps after getting a new gun shouldnt have a problem with buying one more and selling the hicap here on ASC. New players on the other hand may not have that kind of cash kicking around and its near impossible to play a game with only a single lowcap.

A FAL is definitly on my list of guns to get, isnt STAR also making one soon?

A new player can't afford the FAL either.

This is more suited to estabished players, which is why it would come with a lowcap, at least in my opinion.

Seems no one has yet noticed this yet so I should mention it.

This is a KIT. A TM SIG 55X series rifle is required for the conversion. Apparently a full AEG will also be released but only later AFAIK.

If they are releasing the full AEG right away, that would be KICK ASS!

I totally agree. Most new players are going to go m4/g36/ak/mp5 anyways. The gun people may look at it, but then again, they have probably fired off a couple real steel guns in there life and are probably going to look at something still a little bit more fimiliar.

I wonder what Mags it will accept. Looks kind of like a g3 or m14 mag. either would do nicely, as they are readly avalible.

you can always just buy 1 highcap to go with your gun if those are the kind of mags you want to use. It seems that most other companies besides tm/ca are adopting a highcap only policy. It bugs me to no end that ICS doesn't make a locap mag for their AK-74s and I'm stuck with TM AK-47 mags because the star 74s feed like crap.

Well since it's a FAL, it will accept FAL mags. Figured that much would be obvious.

I can't wait! The amount of kit from around the world that goes with this gun rivals the even Armalite series.

This gun is a friggin' camo collectors dream. One can do an authentic British forces from Falkland War impression now.
