Hell I wear my camo pants at work! MInd you I went to a game with a bunch of guys and one car insisted on wearing thier tac vests. SO I said jokingly " wouldn't it be funny if one of us got pulled over on they way to the game" Thankfuly it wasn't the car with the tac vests that got pulled over but sure enough one of us did. I don't know where I'd begin to explain. I geuss the general consensous here is it's ok to go half and half.
alright I'm good with that |

We should note that the terrorists caught in Canada and U.S. were in civilian clothes..and were quite discreete (also refer to London Train Bombings). I mean we wouldn't want to have guns/magazines/knives showing. But a little gear and camo is ok.

I throw on my BDU's with some sneakers. Everything else in the back seat. If someone asks I say "Wargame in New Brunswick today, wanna come?"
When we were in cadets (air) on bush trips we wear what ever camo we had there and back. |

i wear my bdu's just about everyday including to work so I don't see an issue about it. Tac gear on the other had should be kept for the field or like Poncho said Halloween is once a year....

Pre-game, I generally go with whatever's convenient. If it's a long trek from my car to the field then I'll suit up as much as possible so the weight is well distributed.
After the game, it's all about the BDU pants, sneakers and a tan or OD t-shirt |

I see it more and more often these days, punk ass kids wearing cadpat pants thinking their cool. Personally if you want to your pants to the field, more power to ya, but past that your only asking for trouble. There are cops out there that see you in your car wearing BDUs will pull you over for just wearing the BDUs.

Full BDU minus team patchs (they are looking like a police patch. The one in my signature)
I don't see any difference, some people stare, but it's the same thing when I was working in the security buisness and I had some patrol gear on. When I'm in cadpat, I think they think I'm in the army. I usually avoid going into the public for no reasons. I go eat or gas like that, but that's it.

I usually wear a civvie top, and my camo pants to the game. I try to refrain from stopping anywhere on the way to the field so I don't draw any unwanted attention.

Reading the responses, and quickly glancing at everyone's location, it seems clear that different regions are different in their "acceptance" (i.e., from the general public's POV) of camo/BDUs.
Clearly in Quebec, or at very least the Montreal area, camo isn't given a second thought. Point in case, because of this thread, when I walked my dog after supper (nice hour long walk, it was a nice evening) I decided to look for people wearing camo. I myself was wearing a US WL shirt since it was cool (raid modded, since I hadn't gotten a chance to wear it since I got it back from Morb/Kitshop - who did an amazing job, btw). In the span of ~1 hour, I encoutered one guy wearing 6 color desert pants cut [ripped] to short (bermuda) length, two guys [seperate encounters] wearing woodland BDU pants (one looked real, one looked more like Walmart woodland with snap buttons), one skater wearing a really old/faded US woodland shirt with a lot of [band?] patches sewn on and one guy wearing what looked like either CadPat AR or Desert MarPat pants (he was too close to me, so I couldn't LOOK at his pants like that, without it getting really weird, you know?). Additionally, in non-BDU clothing, there was a young-ish guy (14?) wearing a woodland-ish tshirt (Rothco style), one girl wearing "woodland-ish" pants (looked more like one of those Russian patterns, but clearly this was civvy clothing. She was hot though), and one girl wearing a sort of washed out Urban camo pants (she wasn't hot and the pants did nothing to help it <- cuz, you know, cows are sorta white and black pattern like that, too... so, uh, yeah). I would have felt really weird/out of place if I'd been out dressed in sports pants and a polo shirt. Like "OMFG Reject!" weird.

Half half here, don't even really like the camo look casually anyways. I saw a guy at Wasaga this weekend with a CADPAT backpack, looked like it was from CP gear actually. Was gona give him a props but he left. Oh well.

well right know i only have camo pants so what else would i wear, but to the matter at hand most of the guys i drive to out door games well wear BDU pants and some random shirt but we try to stop as little as possable like most of the time we stop once about 5 mins out of the meeting place to gas up and grab some munchies for the drive and then its give'her to the field and then we finish gearing up at the game. But before the game i'll take a look around roughly 80% of the players well have pants on when they get to the game so i wouldn't see the problem in wearing only your pants coming to the game but i guess it could be said that you should change in to normal pants when your done the game but i guess its all up to the players really i know after a game i basicly take off my game shit pants stay on and drive right home cause i'm to tried to want to change completely in to civ's and i wont be stopping any where.
