Ak 47s or G36c

I don't usually bother with these but I'm very bored ... the AK ... I have 6, again. Need I say more? G36c equals plastic trash. Get a Marui and upgrade it to full wood and metal or get the ICS. I personally still go with Marui and upgrade with the aftermarket parts I know are good quality.

Classic Army produces both AK and G36s, and if you don't mind waiting a little their upcoming AK variant looks rather impressive and will almost certainly cost a hell of a lot less than upgrading a Tokyo Marui AK to the same spec: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/news/...1%20Output.jpg

Unfortunately i had to leave my G36C back when i left to come to Canada. It was a solid platform.

I disagree, for a plastic gun it's a tough little bastard with very little creak or play and it fits together snugly. The only complaint you could have is that the mag-fitment is a *tiny* bit loose, but that is true of the Marui AK as well.

My turn to agree with you, the G36 my friend has is nice and sturdy for a plastic gun, but nothing beats the reliability of full metal and Id really want nothing else, better to have that look, feel and realism that full metal has.

I had a chance to play around with TM, CA, ICS, G&G AK's and CA G36. G36 just doesn't feel right when compared to a FM AK. G36 is a pretty good gun, but I'd take an AK over it any time.
Btw, the best AK I've handled so far was G&G AK104. Can't say anything about internals, but build quality and external look kills. Especially bolt/gas piston part.

I find you get looked at more by paintballers if you weld a ak. you want to be cool?

EDIT: and the mags do not fit kinda loose on the ak. TM mags are sturdy as hell. I dropped my gun numerous of times, threw it over hills to worm my way through crossfire, landed on it while jumping to a ditch and the fitment on it is still sturdy as hell. Basically the AK is rock solid comparable with the real one

ak47's for everone!!! full wood with some parts and you got a really nice weapon only down side is prone position is next to imposible with out a spetz mag which i think makes the gun look really kick ass. anyways good luck with your gun choice gbb are alot of fun too!!

Good thread, lots of input on both guns, mainly the AK, should rename the title, or just take out that please need help and such. I will incoporate some of the answers to the final Best AEG thread soon.

I'd say G36C, the AK47 is a nice gun but the G36C is more modular in terms of accessories due to its rails.

i would get the AK for frontline work, the barrel on the G36C is too short for that. if however, your gonna be dooing stuff like spec ops, recon, CQB exc. i reccomend the G36C, its smalness would be perfect for that role!!

why would you want a metal G36C???? the real one is made up of mostly fiberglass anyway!!!

The AK47 has better accuracy, without a doubt. It has a 455mm barrel compared with the G36c's 247mm.

And to answer another question, yes, the gearboxes share the same parts, but they have different motors.
