Hahaha no it was pretty clean. :-)

And yes it is a molded rear sight that does not adjust. Who ever uses sights on a machine gun anyhow. Spray and Pray all the way!

Blastyman, what do you have planned for the M249 with upgrades/mods?
Also.. If your able to take it apart, can the gas tube and barrel come off?

well u beat me to it i was going to ask if you were going to put a metal body to increase the rigidity of the gun and make it more toss worth.

P.S bring that thing to one of the tac-ops games in the summer cause i have money flow and want to see how these new gearboxes hold cause those L85's have not been able to get off my mind.

Well the gun functioned flawlessly today. Couple others were so impressed they may buy one too.

went thru a few thousand rounds today. Maybe 4000. Worked like it should.

though I didn't even use it! lol Let it to a buddy whos V2 mec cracked in half. Anyhow I could not of lent it to a better guy to try out. He was very agressive and fill the role of the Squad gunner very well. all I heard all day was bursts of firing coming from that thing.

Had a distinct sound.

Even shooting its stock 300 FPS it seem quite adequte to the tasks at hand.

As far as upgrades go I plan on upping the FPS to about 360 or so. Thats about it.

anybody know if its compatible with other 249 accessories? like the stuff made for top guns like the G&P ris or the feed cover with scope rail?

... then you could throw in the acog and m4 collapsible stock and get yourself a nice c9

How accurate is the gun? Is it truly a spray and pray gun, or could you put off a few well aimed shots with some degree of success?

I would say pretty much on Par with any short barrel gun.

But there is no semi and the ROF of fire is high so a single shot easily can become 2-3.
