TM G36c was my first AEG. I bought it when it came out the first time.
It's a very solid AEG. Once upgraded, it's a machine.
The only drawback is the mags, they are very large and take a lot of space. The rifle itself is large enough, even the C variant is bigger than an M4.

VFC... I don't know, but last time I heard about them, they where unreliable.

A 7.4v lipo yes. 11.1v no.

I've also had a number of VFC guns. Externally beautiful and rock solid, internally decent. Piston and hop-up would probably be the first things to look at upgrading.

Also where can I source a spring for this gun that isn't in the uk. I'd love to order but the exchange rate is brutal lol

If it uses a standard spring size, literally dozens of places here in Canada.

If it's the shorter TM spring that the M4/416s use, eagle6 for a custom one OR a standard one trimmed down - again recommend having a gun doc do this.

There's nothing wrong with 11.1 lipos. It's the same wear and tear on the gun, just in a quicker time period. If you can get away with a 7.4 than all the power to you. I shoot semi only and play big MilSims so trigger response is key and 11.1's give the absolute best. Haven't had a problem with 11.1's the entire time I've used them. Biggest problem I've had is a busted tappet plate on a stock VFC KAC PDW that I ran for 2 years as my primary before running into that problem. But as I said, if you're going to be happy with the response you get from a 7.4 then there's no need to do the step up. Just wanted it known that 11.1's aren't the devil lol.

Agreed 11.1v can be quite good in most setups.

It's way overkill for a stock TM. Trigger response is very snappy on 7.4 and ROF is already quite high (20+).

An 11.1v would strip the gears quick unless you always shot in semi on a stock TM.

Even my fully pimped TM 416 with full Prometheus internals and a Spectre FET only needs 7.4v for amazing performance.

No one mentioned anywhere specific yet but Airsoftparts.ca or Airsoftstore.ca are 2 good ones for "upgrade parts" (well you're really "downgrading" the spring but at the same time you're also prolonging the life of your rifle because slightly less stress and wear on it).

7.4 and 11.1V; there's pages and pages of info on it, personally I use 7.4V because that's what I bought from a long time ago but with a couple minor upgrades I could easily run an 11.1V (you might as well get them done while you downgrade the spring, MOSFET, AOE correction, Sorbo pad, etc. also note to beware of "overspinning" your gears especially if you have a light spring and are running 11.1V).
