I just bought one of these myself. I'm not an air softer, but have been wanting a period correct weapon to display with my M151A2 as shows. Dewat C1 SMGs are near unobtanium. I was then going to try and convert a KA L1A1 into a C1A1, but it would have cost me a fortune once I replaced the plastic with wood, body cover, rear sight, carry handle..... etc. The Action Custom SL-MK4 is as close as you can get to a C1 9mm SMG in airsoft form. Still lots of little issues like the muzzle cap and front sling swivel, but with a little work, it'll pass for display in this:

Nice jeeps, but where do you intend to use them with the airsoft gun ?

I have the complete period correct contents for the M151A2 when I display it at car shows and the like. This includes both the radios (RT524 and PRC77 on AM2060), stove and lantern, cam net, personal kit like a C2 Ruck, 64 Pattern Webbing, Helmet and so on (I'm not a reenactor, so all of this is static display items). The SMG would be installed in the stowage mount on the dash as designed. Bear in mind, at these shows there are others with dewat .30" and .50"cals etc mounted on pedestal mounts and so forth (half-tracks and the like), so the SMG stuck in the stowage mount is not going to shock and awe anyone, especially with a BFA installed (modded to fit the airsoft). This is all setup after arriving at the show. I don't drive around Ottawa with it all kitted out

EDIT:

This photo here shows the CF installed stowage mount right above the gauges:

I'll probably just leave the mag off when its stowed in the mount as I don't want it scraping the windshield glass. I wouldn't have wanted to be the passenger "back in the day" with that thing cocked and locked in the dash mount. Mind you the point about the inherent safety of the C1 9mm SMG has been argued to death over on army.ca and the consensus from the old timers was that the throw through the door room clearing was actually a Sten Gun trait and not the C1 SMG I joined in 93 so I can only take their word for it!

They were fine.

The only issues came up if someone got complacent and did something dumb like not clearing a stoppage properly.

You'd be more worried about rolling the jeep again.

Thankyou.
It was a difficult build. I play it every weekend.

Oh, and still waiting on a C1A1 (FN FAL) GBBR. Just sayin' :P
I too would love to get my hands on one of these FnC1A1's as well. Even a broken one would still be nice to hang on the wall along with the smg(working or broken)
