Amazing how fast & easily a thread will go off the tracks!
Ya, the KSC G19 HW is a great gun, nicely built and reliable. and it feels real, especially if you add a metal slide ot it in the future. I have a pair of KSC G19s, (both JASG = Japan versions), one with stock plastic slide and the other with a metal slide, and use both a lot with propane and no problems at all. Some say plastic slides and propane cause problems, others have run thousands of rounds through stock guns on propane and had no problems at all. Just keep that info there in mind and you'll be fine. Plan to order a metal slide for it at some point (cha-CHINK! when you cock & fire it is super nice, making the stock plastic slide kinda well, boring.) Reasonably accurate with a clean & slightly oiled barrel (can get 2-3" groups at 30ft using AE .25g BBs) but for outdoor games I prefer to use .36g sniper BBs, they are less affected by wind, go relatively far and people KNOW (sound) when they get hit, especially if they wear body armour or thick clothes. And if it's your back up and all you have to go by, you want the best you can get for performance, meaning BBs on target, not tapping a guy who doens't seem to notice he got hit. Anyways, enjoy your G19 when you get it! |

I got a metal slide and 2 clips off ebay. slide was 40 bucks and clips were 20. Just waiting for my order to be processed, called them today and just keep getting their voice mail thing. Will them 6mm paintball bbs work too or will they just blow up once the air hits them? I love airsoft pistols and want one for paintball. The paintball pistols are way to big and the real action pistols are getting redone. And ksc seems to be the best for looks and such

i think i read that although there are paintball bbs they are not recommended. i think this is primarily because they might explode before they leave the barrel and might dirty up your internals. i am not sure about this. i have never used them.

both hold the rounds, so what if one has the rounds inside the metal case and the other does not. All the same Both hold your rounds

Sigh*... You are totally wrong. THEY are two DIFFERENT things. I'm surprised you're not getting flamed, you're lucky. You can think what you want... but guess what, you're wrong.

Paintball bb's are the great faux pas of airsoft. Don't use them either.

Do not use paintball bb's! I cannot stress that enough. One breaking in a springer is one thing, one breaking in a gbb is a real problem. You could ruin your gbb by using them. You have been warned. |
