Update: After shimming and reshimming the bevel gear to the pinion, I realized that the tolerances for the bottom of the bevel gear is not low enough for a hairline of free space between that and the pinion. Hence, they are constantly touching each other causing motor whine...
Any suggestions? I wanted to try and replace the bushing but they seem to be stuck... |

After adjusting the motor height and reshimming it's still quite loud. What I mean is that there is still motor whine because the bevel and pinion are being forced to have too much contact... The tolerances of the shell are not providing enough clearance (even 0.01 mm) of space even when there are no shims on the bottom of the bevel gear. So when I screw in half of the gearbox shell with the motor cage, the pinion will mesh with and PRESS INTO the bevel gear. Hope that makes sense.
