Squid Porn Superstar, I love the tentacles!

Get a Marui, otherwise you're gonna get out shot by any well built AEG.
When I compared my M14 to a TM VSR-10 with Laylax parts, the VSR was still only slightly more accurate, and it had a 50 FPS advantage over my gun too. And please, learn to communicate. Nobody's going to take you seriously when you type like a 12 year old with poor use of grammar and spelling. Maybe you should start using periods more often, every post you've made here has been a run on sentence that has been painful to read. |

If you're not going to provide any details of your shooting experience, we're going to assume you're just another 16-18yr old that knows nothing about airsoft or guns.
You can't blame us for treating you like a noob if you haven't provided any information to the contrary What you've given us to go off of is your reference of a bolt action rifle as a "sniper", which is typically used by COD-softers and the young videogamer crowd that doesn't understand that a sniper is a person and a sniper rifle is a rifle. So no flame intended, we just assumed you were a noob is all. Last edited by ThunderCactus; February 12th, 2014 at 16:16.. |

How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?

- Tokyo Marui VSR-10 G-Spec (best results)
- Tokyo Marui L96 AWS (nearly the same) - Classic Army M24 (budget choice) - Maruzen L96 APS-2 (solid reliability) Investigate upgrade potentials, and parts availability. If you want to make it shoot straight, true, and far, $400 - $600 of aftermarket upgrades depending on platform. If you want it to out perform the assault guns on the field, $800 - $1200 in upgrades. If you're serious about this as a field-able competitor, stick with the above mentioned variants. In the airsoft sniping, spring bolt world, anything else is pretty much cheap replica, and will not have the tolerances needed. Some guns hold the exact same upgrade parts as the ones mentioned above, but you won't usually get the same results.

Since someone brought up L96, this might be relevant:

Seems relevant, if you're going to waste your time buying a clone (my opinion). Your clone will not perform as well, as the original counter-part, I've seen this several times. I've also noticed they break a lot quicker as well.
The Maruzen APS-2 and TM VSR systems I've seen fully/properly upgrade, have outshot "any" others I've ever seen. I've definitely seen more clones than anything else, they just aren't as good, full stop. I haven't personally noticed a CA M24, but many well known airsoft BA users swear by its abilities. Best of the best though. Marui VSR G-Spec, easily.

You'd likely be way ahead in the cash department, over a comparable airsoft sniper rifle version needing upgrades to make it worth the while to field, with more versatility, and cash in pocket left over. for example.. |

I absolutely +1 on the marui M14 short or long.
Very solid gun, with one of the best hop up designs for an airsoft gun. When it comes to range and accuracy there are 3 critical things that matter in choosing a base rifle; 1) consistency of production. If a company makes 10 guns and only 2 of them end up being any good, it's not a good brand to buy 2) marui spec gearbox. If it takes proprietary parts, you're stuck with whatever crap that company chooses to provide you with. Stock internals don't matter, as long as they can be replaced with something better. 3) Hop chamber design. You can have a perfect sealing mechbox with the best Rhop & barrel combo, but if your hop chamber is a crap design to begin with, it won't be very consistent. The marui M14 is all 3. Very nice gun. I'd go with the shorter barreled "socom", the longer barrel of the standard M14 doesn't provide any extra benefits. |

my shooting experience is hunting for 12 years and shooting for years, with a Remington 700 sps 270 win. I use a Leupold vx-3 2.5 8x36mm. I use 150 grains not store bought crap, it is useless. I also played paintball for 5 years, in pro. in 22 years old september 1, 1991. i grew up around guns and love them my next gun I want to get is a m14 and a sig sauer p226 since I do have my pal and restricted. if there is anymore questions about my experience in shooting dont flame or anything just ask me like an adult

It has nothing to do with trust my friend. We have every reason to believe you. However we've had countless people on here that lie through their teeth, and unless we meet you in person we have no real idea. I also have a busy work life, and a one year old son, but I definitely recommend getting AV'd. We can then give you access to more depth information.

By clip you mean magazine, then yes I can attest its a pain to take out with winter gloves on, but its not a hard task with tactical shooting gloves on. If that's a concern for you get a TM L96 they have a RS magazine set up. Or even get a gas M700.
