What was your first upgrade / add on to your first sniper rifle?
Scope? Buttstock? Barrel? 0.25g bbs? |

I am not sure I would consider BBs an upgrade. If you want to be in a DMR role, you should start shooting 0.28 or higher.
A better barrel and hopup should be your first upgrades to the system.

The most crucial are the hop-up rubber an the compression parts (cylinder head and a new piston or piston head depending on the rifle).

A somewhat related question... Is A&K SVD (AEG Version) related to the King Arms SVD (AEG Version)?

From what I gathered, if you want an AEG SVD, stick with Real Sword or if you are willing to do a lot of tweaking, the CYMA is a clone of the Real Sword.

Scopes and stocks are accessories, not upgrades
Best thing you can do with a stock rifle is upgrade the barrel and hop rubber. Make sure you clean the barrel after every game. And use .30s up to 430fps and .36s up to 500fps Lighter ammo 'loses' accuracy as the velocity increases |

So am I going to regret getting the Classic Army M24?
Or should one wait for a use one to pop up (WELLS VSR-10)? How about AEG M14 which is so not a bolt-action. |

Nope, the CA24 is one of the main platforms the really hardcore marksmen and snipers use around canada!

And at 250$ it's by far the best value for the money you can get in Canada for a quality sniper rifle.

Alright guys, picking one up tomorrow. Going to pick up the C02 Revolver as a side arm for kicks and giggles
Thanks for your help. No more battery charging and mags maintenance! |

The CO2 revolvers shoot close to 400 fps for the short ones to over 450 for the long ones. They make really bad side arms for snipers, as you have to be really careful with such a powerful side arms and cannot shoot people that are close to you. It is possible to mod them, but you are still left with only 6 shots. I would recommend you look for a pistol that is around 275-320 fps. This way you can engage from very close, inside the minimum engagement distance of your sniper rifle, without fear of hurting other players. Also get 4-5 pistol mags, it is likely that in some games you will end up using your pistol a lot more than your sniper rifle.
