Ya most of the CQB gaming I been to was like a game of hide and seek everyone just screaming mercy mercy when they saw even a bit of the person pass by a an opening or something. So far my CQB experiences have been pretty lame I especially like seeing people who shoot, miss, then yell out mercy. Hopefully that TTAC3 thing will be good.

Jealous Doesn't Cover It
Damn!
Where did you get access to a ship like that. Looks like it actually in service? I know, I'll search it! Cleaning up must have been some serious vacuum time!

No mercy
At TTAC3 there will be ***no mercy*** rules
In their place will be "surrender" rules. Training will focus on learning to shoot to center of body mass, and full auto fire will be restricted. Any one has the right to surrender at any time if they feel the action getting too hot. I agree that it will be higher risk.. but it will also be more realistic. I have been "stitched up" the face with full auto it stung but with weapons firing at or around 300 fps it is not too bad. Hurts less than wrestling to submission.

Since it was all stock guns only and most all of the walls and doors are metal, damage was minimal. Clean up was easy so I am told. The biggest danger to these PQAC night games for all of the Ottawa crews is the late night drive home. I had Boba worried there with my head bobbing at 5am - hehehe, safe and sound eh, mate? Others were not so lucky - Moose have claimed 2 cars so far. Seriously crazy driving stories. Everyone was ok (save for the Moose), thankfully. |

Hoping For Another
At the risk of hijacking the thread... ops:
Man, would I every like to pop my CQB cherry on an operation like that. Any chance of getting that ship again?

I've only played one game of CQB, it was a small place and it was quite dark, I rented an AUG and I don't think I hit anyone, but it was incredibly fun.

But you have to be ready to take a hit. At the LZ we have a stock gun only rule, but you still get a few bleeders here and there. Poncho, that ship was amazing!! I can't wait to do something like that again!

Breaching Drills
I have been kicking around an Idea to practice door breaching with a shotgun.
here is the plan, Make a door frame, and then make a door out of SM foam sheet that friction fits in the frame. then you can practice doing lock breaches or hinge breaches using a shotgun. 2shots at the lock area .. then kick the door in. or 2 shots to each hinge location and kick it in. Just an idea... gotta test it, besides I need an excuse to get a shotgun.

I wish Airsoft shotguns were that powerful at a price we could afford - the only lethal one that is as capable as that would be MadMax/Carl's sweet Remmy...

At flag raiders is it the host's rule, or does flag raiders make the mercy rule a must?

Shotgun wouldn't work, unless you were throwing some big 8mm.
I think a barrage of aeg fire should take down a door pretty quick. Maybe a hi-powered 40mm shell. Madbull has some co2 powered shells coming out. A good shot with a rubber warhead might work. |

For those who missed it, the idea is the shotgun takes care of the lock or hinges, and then you kick it down...
