Stick with Sturm tunics if you want to cut costs. Swiss conversions require too much, an' postwar just doesn't look right. I also don't recommend the Hong Kong suppliers.

I recomend Captain Zaks and At the Front for economy.

Just my $0.02.

It really all depends how much you are willing to spend.

Also if you buy a NVA tunic you then need to change all the insignia. Insignia that costs around $40 for a basic eagle/litzen/shoulderboard set. Something you would get free if you bought a tunic at ATF. Then you have to add the extra shipping charges of buying things from two places.

So in the end you don't really save that much and the end product with a Sturm is really something you can be proud of and wear with pride. Not have to hide in the shadows and hope no one notices.

Though on the other hand I would never turn down a chance to fight beside a Kammerad wearing a converted tunic.

Cost effective Kit.

Your best bet is to check EBAy. There are always deals on there for repo kit form WWII Germany. I have put together an Entire Waffen SS RottenFuhrer kit and I think it has cost me a total of probably $500. This includes all webbing and associated items plus Uniform and Helmet.

Hey, I just recieved my M40 uniform package today from www.captzak.com and its awesome, I HIGHLY recommend getting stuff from him. I was shocked at how well these tunics look, I will get some pics and post them in a new thread.
