I got my old receiver back today
Here are a few close ups of the engravings. ( the A2 has since been painted white) They almost look like they were stamped. I would definitely send more work to Dave @ Imperial Engravers.

The engravings look awesome, but I'm mixed on the powder coated finish.. Is the texture and shine now different than the other parts of the gun now?

I just want to be sure I'm clear on this... my WE has Colt trades already molded in. Not too deep, but they're there. Can Imperial cover the old "engravings", then etch or CNC in new ones?

He could, but he would have to sandblast your receiver to remove the old engravings thus removing layers of metal. I would get a brand new blank one somehow.

I paid $40 for the coating, and $60 for the laser engravings. Stealthee's costs were a bit higher if I remember correctly as he went for Deep Engraving.

Here are some pictures from mine. I wanted VLTOR and BCM trades for my WE M4 RS build's. I had both receivers CNC engraved only, and opted out for the powder coating as it looked too "orange peely" and textured which doesnt look like very RS at all as shown in others' pictures above. It also cost alot cheaper as well since I only wanted the CNC engraving. Afterwards, I airbrushed the receivers myself with Duracoat so it simulates more like the RS finish.
The receivers after CNC engraving (sorry for the dust and lint): Here are the receivers after airbrushing with Duracoat HK Black: The receivers above have a finish that looks more RS finish like my first build that matches perfectly with the RS controls: Here are some sneek peeks of me second and final WE M4 RS builds: Last edited by turok_t; October 7th, 2017 at 12:29.. |

I do that too on anything that goes on the net.
Otherwise it's been poached and up for sale on "Super Fancy Bargain Shoot Good UNCO Red Wolf Canada Airsoft.bugtusslecable", the greatest and newest Canadian website for guns and gear at fair prices. All in stock and in country shipping within 48 hours of full payment. And then you you know how that ends up.

The last three numbers on his serial are probably the same as the others as well, and he thought that things might get awkward.
