Well I'd be happy to supply your store, facility or whatever you set up with a consignment of batteries, bbs and chargers.

I teach how to use many weapons that are technically as restricted as a pistol ( a real pistol) I do it legally and 100% in the public eye without concern for legal scrutiny. Teachig people the responsible use of legal airsoft weapons is in my perception a "public service" that serves the community interest. Now back on topic, If people have "micro business endeavors" related to Airsoft , other than the selling of the weapons themselves and are looking to connect to the community face to face. I really hope that TTAC3 can be the place for that. I really am hoping to create a "community Center" for the GTA airsoft community.. overall.. as far as details as to what TTAC3 is supposed to be .. that is it, a "community Center" wherein real martial skills can be learned, developed and exercised.

I say go for it, if people use it then it will be a great service to the community. One reccomendation from my experiences is to not have any airsoft items visible to the public. All airsoft is required to be contained in a secure location, like firearms. I can't forsee the police ever giving you issues, but if someone complains, they will show up. Airsoft is a thin grey line, and at the moment it is really thin.

My read is that it would just look like a soop'd up surplus store with a leaning towards airsoft. No problem with that. All you have to do is look to Jeroon to see success in that formula...

There was one small surplus store in BC that brought unnecessary attention to themselves and ended up getting in some trouble. Canada is one big ambiguous confusing melting pot, I dont even think the government knows its own rules, or if/when they can enforce them.

The only 'legal' swordsmanship offered here is Iaido... which is basically drawing your sword really quickly.. swinging it around... and putting it back in the scabbard quickly. Theres also Kendo and Fencing... but Kendo uses blunt sticks and fencing you have armor on. The only way I can see Airsoft institutions being opened is if the participants are required to wear a full suit of ballistic armor. |

Valdes, you don't know what you are talking about... I'v been studying swordsmanship for 20+ years, I can assure you that it is very easy to hurt someone with a sword, even if you are not stupid.... Swordsmanship is not prescribed under the law... there is no such thing as "legal" swordsmanship.. it's all legal. Right up to the point that the weapon is used in a offense.. then the sword suddenly becomes a "prohibited Weapon" The only mention of anything to due with swordsmanship in the Criminal Code is a prohibition of Dueling. There are already many "Airsoft institutions" in existance, and none of them require body armour.

I think at the end of the day, Scarecrow has hit the nail on the head. Don't expect the 'kit shop' to be a large component of your TTAC plan as the ASC buy/sell forums are very active and quite successful. Those who want to use your kit shop will, those who don't... won't.
I think (once you've created your business model), you should implement it as fast as possible and get your feet wet as that will show you the viability of your concept. ASC, although extremely active, is not always the best barometer for airsoft in Canada. The clock is ticking... I would imagine around November people will start thinking about their indoor venues again so that only gives you about 5 months!
