I don't really think ICS is a "cheap" alternative for full metal airsoft guns. Just look at overseas stores, ICS AR line is pretty much at the same price range as the VFC E series, G&G and Classic Army M4's.
Maybe is just that ICS stuff is not that overpriced here.

The price range has nothing to do with it.
G&P is well regarded as the best metal externals on the market, with pretty decent internals, but they're some of the least expensive 'mainstream' brand AEG's out there (outside of Canada) I know ICS had serious compatibility issues with aftermarket externals, but I don't know if that's still the case. |

well in terms of metal bodies id still go with VFC or King Arms externally, G&P is great as well, but for a cheap economical good grade metal body i would go King Arms im a KA fanboy!!!
