Nice job waltherglocksmith, I've been using a ghetto cardboard one that I've made a few months ago. I'm going to build your design as it looks more reliable and doesn't make a mess after your done shooting.

I was actually thinking about doing the same exact thing, but using a piece of plywood with an angle (45ish degrees) so that the BBs felt straight down.
Guess your solution is better! Thanks for the plans btw.

I made a pretty decent trap from a coffee can stuffed with a piece of cardboard rolled up pretty tight. I never heard a bb hit the can bottom and out of 100 maybe 2 didn't stay in it. Was quick & easy to make. But I want something nicer so this I'll have to look at when on a pc (can't download file on phone)

The best way to stop BBs is to use something soft. I suggest a hanging sheet behind your targets, or just a cardboard box with jeans in it.
Hard materials deform the BBs and cause ricochets. |

11x17'' version is cool for full auto shooting

Very nice. I certainly could use something like this...
I just cleaned out my "cardboard box trap corner" I'd rather not spend 2 hours picking up all those BB's again. |

Very cool.
Id rather fill the back with insulation or foam so there is no chance of the BB bouncing off another stuck BB after heavy use of the trap, and easier to clean I would think. Edit: After watching the vids, the BBs don't stick as well as I thought they would, cool.

If you really want to recycle your BB's, use shopping/garbage bags crumpled.
Currently, I'm using a shoe box stuffed full of shopping bags. A lot but not crammed so full that it can't compress under the force of a bb. Basically just absorbs the bb and because of the numerous folds of bag, they stay put or 'trapped'. When the face gets completely eaten away, I just keep shooting into the bags. I got a few thousand rounds in the current box. |

Empty water bottles...I fill a large cardboard box with them and just staple targets on the box. Once the BBs enter the box, they may ricochet, but the bottles have enough give that they never come out of the box. When you're done, just open the bottom of the box over a container and you get all your BBs back to use in grenades...I should adapt that to a more permanent solution...
