Yep, rip that sucker apart! The v3 mechbox is apparently one of the easier ones to work on. Check out mechbox.com for videos on disassembly.
The Kraken is pretty easy to break down into pieces. Putting it back together properly is a little tougher. But not if you make good notes while you take it apart. If you really want to learn how it ticks, that's the way to do it. And while it's apart you can check the shimming, clean and regrease, check your O ring for cuts or tears.. all kinds of fun stuff. |
