Since your shooting through a Prometheus, which averages ~8.53mm OD you have many choices for a packing. You can use a softer packing for highly polished bb's or you can use a harder packing for a rougher bb. This also depends on how tight your hop-up unit is. Not a loose one is it where it backs off easily is it?

In my .28 AEG setup, I am using a Prometheus Soft (Purple) with BB Kings. It is a coarser finished bb. Accuracy is very consistent at 40 feet, I can hit a 2" diameter sapling with every shot.
well the thing about packing AFAIK is that many rubbers have a thicker part where it touches the bb. Ie what i have now, a systema rubber. This interferes with the SCS shape doesnt it? I was asking for recommended rubbers that work well with SCS. Right now the gun is shooting pretty wildly.... could that just be break in?

Hop up is nice and tight, but with a bit of force the barrel can still be twisted within the hop-up. Im not concerned about it moving while shooting, but rather how do i know the barrel is installed with the barrel hole 100% perfectly vertical?
