I have both the hard and soft in stock.

This is what the packaging says:

Soft

Hard

I have no clue what they say, but when I asked my distributor about the difference, I was told that if the gun was completely stock, use the extra soft. If it's upgraded up to around 1J, then use the Soft. If the gun is upgraded to over 1J, then use the Hard rubber.

Thanks for the pics Brian.

It says for the Soft:

Sweet Flavoured Namaco(Soft I suppose)
- Will straighten out the flight path and increase your accuracy.
- This is for 0.20g or 0.25g BBs.

All the stuff below are warnings.

For the hard:
Spicy Flavoured Namaco(Hard I suppose)
- Will straighten out the flight path and increase your accuracy.
- This is for 0.25g or 0.30g BBs.

That's the only difference. Soft is for 0.20g and 0.25g, Hard is for 0.25g and 0.30g. I use 0.30g in my GBBs so I guess hard is fine!

Not sure where the FPS theory came from but you guys can all forget about it now.

I'm going to send an email off to my distributor now... I have a few words to say.

LOL

But now, I'm more curious about what "sweet flavored Namaco" is, more than anything...

oops, for the hard, it says "spicy flavoured Namaco" I forgot what Namaco was, I think it was kind of fish.

but ya guys, mainly use the hard.

There's 4 different ones though..

There's an extra soft, soft, medium and hard... I was told by my japanese contact;

Extra Soft = around 200ish fps on .2
Soft = around 250 - 350ish fps on .2
Medium = around 350 - 400ish fps on .2
Hard = 400+ fps on .2

He said that the packages are worded that way because these rubbers are made for the Japanese market where guns can only be a maximum of 328 on .2...

I just read that on the real one, you can reverse the mag catch for lefties. Any chance the TM one can as well?

I'm no gun tech but my closest guess would be yes. There is a spring in the mag housing that looks like all you need to do is take it out, pull out release button and insert it in the other side and re-install spring. This pistol is quite nicely set up for ambidextrous(sp?) use. Safety is accessible on both sides of the slide, but the slide lock and slide release are only accessable on rt side.

yup, from the diagram it seems like you can flip it around to make it more suitable for left handers.

I just got mine today, and this is the most satifying airsoft gun I have ever held, even more so than my metal kitted TM DE, there is no clacking or clicking to be heard from the slide when fired, just an incredibly loud BLAM, it's so fun, accurate, and well made, I cant wait to get like 4 more mags for it

forgot to add, one issue i have had, sometimes when the slide stop comes up at the second last shot, it catches the slide, leaving the last round in the mag, it has only happened twice, but its still something...
also, the holes in hte outer barrel that hold it into the hopup seem to be elongating at an alarming rate, giving it play, as well as the deformation is pushing the hopup halves apart, dont know if i got a lemon?

*edit* OK seems I must have gotten a lemon, cause my hopup assembly seems to be shredding itself, the outer barrel is deforming at the mounts, and one of the flanges that holds the inner barrel onto the outer barrel has sheared off, and i didnt do anything to it! i swear! i fired 10 mags through it! its not something I did!
