The battery is long enough to protect the FET once plugged in. I'm actually really interested in seeing some creative installs. With its small size, you really could put it anywhere.

LOL...this is a sweet MOSFET!

If you could get a version small enough to sit inline with the wiring in the mechbox right where the "web of your hand" would be then you could use the mechbox shell as a heat sink

Any chance you can find someone who makes a micro lipo alarm?

Now no one has any excuse to NOT run a MOSFET!

Still I think it's fairly small, but it might not work for everyone especially running it in the buffer tube.

Huh?.. I run it in the buffer tube just fine with an 11.1v lipo. How big of a buffer tube lipo do you have?

Testing continues.

Just installed one into an M140 setup with X High Tech ultra high torque motor. So far so good.

EDIT: Nope just burned it out on a fully charged 11.1v lipo 50C 1400mah lipo on a long series of sustained bursts and semi. I can't say I'm surprised considering the setup pulls over 100 amps on startup and shoots over 460fps @ 33rps.. LOL
