They use the ACU if they work with the U.S. Army...

The picture posted previously by Yuxi is showing Seals...

I saw some SEALS when I was in IRAQ. Depending on where they operate the most and who they are operating with they can wear anything from Tri-color US desert, ACU, MARPAT, Tan Flightsuits, and I saw Tan raidmod BDU tops with ACU trousers.

Gear I saw alot was PACA's with RHODESIANS and plate carriers overtop. The Standard issue kit for the teams is alot like the FSBE II stuff that USMC Force recon uses.

Carbine-

The black vest in that pic looks like a SAFARILAND Plate carrier like this one:

Also they appear to be wearing sage green flightsuits. A few of them have what looks like Blackhawk Advanced LBV's.

Hey Mike,

-Don't get modular assault pack. Get a camelbak MUEL or HAWG, preferebly in whatever color green they offer or black or tan (do not get tri-color, acu, or woodland). OR a regular Eagle or Blackhawk 3 day assault pack, just don't get the fancy molle stuff for the pack.
-Don't forget soft armor as well as hard, ask Henry for how to
-Don't get peltors for now, if you get the DEVGRU headset, the peltors will become useless
-Don't need strobe, but get if you really want
-missing holster. Consider Safariland 6004 in black, and only that model in that color. OR, Eagle SAS MKIV in black, or Serpa holster in black.

-you don't really need peq2 as well as 5, choose one of them

Otherwise it looks quite good.

No offence, but what exactly makes this SEAL as opposed to say, any US soldier from the early 90s onwards?

Older generation of SEALs had alot more customized gear, and certain special ones like ABA assault vests and packs, flight deck helmets with comm systems, PT armor, work out gloves, etc. Green ops seals had items like customized ALICE webbing, ALICE packs, etc.

Basically, your kit list is too simple to pass off as a SEAL. HOWEVER, if you have more stuff and simply did not list them, then I apologize.

Here are some of the pics of older generation SEALs.

Hey Rockafella, a slow collection. However the older SEAL pictues came from a set which a friend had sent.

Go to this post here, download my entire collection of photos. The SEAL part is quite good.

Enough of my gibber jabber. Here is some of my kit (Don't have the energy or time take pics of all of them right now), all of which are works in progress, and frankly looks unused because I rarely get a chance to game. I will make a complete post in the gear section when it is all said and done.

CQBR: Surefire M951, Aimpoint with Wilson mount, and QD silencer.

CIRAS: Camelbak MUEL, Phantom copy of the LBT NSW rig, and Motorola Saber I

IBH: Surefire helmet light, M1911 A1

It's a range card, but Jarhead pointed out another good idea, common phrases in translation.

Take a look what an Arnie's user got his mitts on. A TFSS! I am very jealous. But it is way out of my price range.
