the bevel is not self shimming, so it's possible that is shimmed too tightly. You can also shim under the spur and sector too high vs one or the other or vs the bevel and you could get a bind. The self shimming portions only hold those 2 gears down (very poorly at that)

I futz with V2s, V3s and V6s. I could be wrong... but probably, most likely not, as far as I know.

If you battery burnt without pressing the trigger, don't plug an other one until you made sure your gun is "safe".

Because right now you have a nasty short-circuit.

I removed the motor and trigger wiring assembly.
They don't look damaged but I'm not eager to take chances.
I'll look into getting them both replaced along with a set of compatible batteries, I don't want to get burned by another Frankenstein job.

This project is going back on the shelf for a few weeks until I get some free time. Thanks for the advice folks.
