There is no way in hell SAS (in video game SAS) guys use holsters made for airsofters and paintballers.

Here's my take on the kits

-Baseball cap with Union jack(Gaz) or boonie (Price)
-DPM trousers
-Black 'commando jumper' with added sleeve pockets and a Union Jack & SAS patch
-High Speed boots
-Thigh holster (I'm just using a cheap old one I've got)
-Wasatch with 4x Grenade pouches & 1x Smoke, Hydro & 1x SAW pouch (Price)
-Woodland Assault vest? (Gaz)
-Alta knee pads
-Bowmans headset (Gaz) personally going with the Cavalvy Toto II
-Badass 'tache

'Black kit'

-Black 8" boots
-Alta pads
-Black BDU's
-Tan holsters for some reason
-Tan body armour
-Molle vest
-Black gloves
-S10 or more accurately FS10 or even better FM12 with antiflash outserts
-Either hood, balaclava or kevlar helmet
...
-Badass 'tache

Just my 2 pence

Those black BDU's would be a black SAS windproof and some black S2000 trousers. Before the S2000 it was S95...

Actually it seems like a pretty good run down to me. He's got the basics there but the devil is in the details for sure. The flaw here is that the developers may have used some creative freedom or just loosely based some gear on real life kit and just winged it the rest of the way. Will anybody be able to ID the exact model of boots they wear? We can only guess.

Lerch pointed out the specifics of the 'black' kit BDUs and it sounds correct. The tan body armour worn under the molle vests looks ALOT like the old 'PT' body armour to me but I can't figure out the holsters.

As for Price and Gaz's vests during the rest of the game, they seem to have a woodland pattern but my guess is that they are custom/spray painted, with the exception of some of the pouches (like the nades).

Those MOLLE vests they had are simply Arktis modular vests, nothing too fancy there. The holsters are probably similar make, but were probably just a generic 'SAS holster'.

Sorry Yuxi it's just my take on the kit, no offence taken. To be honest I think in the majority of items the specific make is unimportant as the representation of them as so vague as to be indistinguasable, such as the holsters where you could just use virtually any generic holster & carry it off, or the 'commando jumper' which is the name of the style rather than a specific item although these appear to be modified. Where a make would be specific it's already been metion (HSGI, Arktis, etc)

the black kit could be virtually any black army clothes, the jacket would probably be an 'SAS windproof' but it could be of another type, the trousers would appear to be standard black combats, I see nothing to indicate a specific type (where's the NSN Lerch? ;-) ) & if we're going to split hairs wouldn't they actually be wearing flame retardant nomex overalls?

My approach was more aimed at just getting a list of what I'd go with inorder to do an airsoft themed COD4 'SAS' kit, not a definitive list by any means, & lets not forget it's only a computer game & artistic liscence may have been used for some things, check out the respirators they should presumably be FM12's with flash outserts but the eye pieces are flat on these, where as the game respirator eyepieces appear curved. Anyway as I said no offence taken, were I offended so easily I'd never venture onto the net!

That's a shame, I always find that when you turn your head wearing a hood, you end up looking at... the inside of your hood. Maybe theirs is more tight fitting that some of my hoods.

and kos,
I always thought Price looked like John McAleese.

here is an interesting article about his views on airsoft

Yeah, apart from the backgrounds (Price; English McAleese; Scot) , I think that they modeled Price after him..

He's also a master of Jujitsu (apparently). Not to mention a stone-cold bad-ass.
