It's better now, some people even managed to take a tours around the area but according to Stalker crew they were not allowed to get off paved roads and could only visit certain areas when they took the tour.

Also. I believe there was a 1-2 hour per 2 day visit in which you could stay in area.

The only people that can stay for over a few hours, are the soldiers and workers....And people there for scientific stuff...I want to go before they put the new "sarcophagus" over the current one...Or before the current one falls.

Power plant still operates. Crews are delivered by hellicopter so people stay there for more than just 1-2 hours a day.

The Canadian Tire down the street from me had a sale recently. Selling alot of hunting gear and what not. I saw the ideal thing for the point counters in the game. They were selling Hunter's Tree Perch's. Nice cozy little chairs that strap onto a tree 20 feet up with a nice little safety belt and all that. Would be perfect
Also Im pretty hard set to there being 4 teams. As it wouldn't be Stalker without the random chaos and factions roving about. Having just two teams would kills the spirit of the game I think.

The NPP was producing electricity until 2000, when the last of the three remaining reactors was taken off grid. As far as Pripyat is concerned, there are people living there who arent soldiers or workers. They're people whi decided to sneak in and move back into their homes and farms, rad levels be damned. Pripyat's official website had a video for download that covered them in detail.

Are there any fields around that would do overnight games? I've been looking at the idea myself and I've been talking it over with one of my friends and the same though occured to us both. It really doesn't seem like you could get the proper feel of the game without a long game (or underground bunkers crammed with 1950's era tech, but that's another story). If anyone is really serious about doing a STALKER themed game, it would be worth their while to talk to some re enactors about camping.
