Both platform has flaws and without maintenance, you'll have problems. In my experience, I've had better luck with AEGs than GBBRs. To diagnose a GBBR is faster, but sometimes you'll get gremlins and the issue persist unless you swap everything. AEGs takes longer to diagnose, but it's less often in my experience. Take this with a grain of salt and decide on what works better for you.

If i understand well, each have plus and minus. Just depend on what the OP wants to work.

The TM MP7 has always been crap and something to stay away from
G&G's are only entry level, usually not very good, but highly upgradeable
Your King Arms' problem isn't the gun itself, but rather the person working on it.
With the right parts and service, there's no reason your KA shouldn't be able to last 2-3 years without breaking down.

If I can build a high ROF, high FPS, high performance, 11.1v LiPo, SW-COMP equipped LMG, that goes 3 years without breaking down internally, then a lesser skilled gundoc should have no problem making a low performance gun last 2 years. Especially with the vast amount of part knowledge available on this site.
The biggest factor in maintaining and fixing AEG's has always been the gundoc's mechanical aptitude.

buddy, if you are throwing a giant ass 11.1v 1billion C lipo into your ur KA obviously somethings gona break, for the most part, dont know how you spend 200 bucks internally and its still broken, i spent somehwere near you? about 350 or so:

100 for a Systema magnum motor
100 for an ASCU Gen1 Mosfet
45 for a Prometheus piston
100 for a set of Prometheus torque gears

THE GUN WORKS LIKE A DREAM

been running it quite hard for a year now, its frigin amazing
I think its probably the gun doc you are taking it to. 200 bucks on a gun? and its still broken? what are you giving him? 200 bucks to fix a stripped gear? REALLY?

Check out warcraft games while youre there. Matt has great prices on his new guns.
You can check his inventory out online @ canadianairsoft.com ...

I just would like to say, buying new always doesnt mean that you arent going to have issues. I bought my first gun brand new, and had nothing but problems.
