I'm really hesitant to paint the rifle. I have been working on my ghille which coming along really well. I have painted my holster which turned out great also, but my rifle I'm thinking of going with a wrap like in the video below:

Rifle wrap are fine, but I find that they get antangled on stuff a lot. especially when you are crawling. And when you need to use your rifle, you have to reposition the wrap to clear the action, scope or musle.

If you don't want to paint the rifle itself, you can do what I did with my previous M700. I taped it completely with green tape and added some camo face paint to it. Instant camo job that is reversible in minutes.

The colors are little bit off due to lighting and post processing. But you get the idea.

And this I tried for an urban scenario.

Ugly as hell, but very effective in breaking the rifle shape. Very practicale as it hold it's shape and can be removed by velcro.

Make sure to take your rifle wrap off after a game (especially after winter or rainy games). I had the Mistake of forgetting it in my case for 2 weeks. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed at myself when I opened it up.

24h later with light sanding and rebluing, She looks good as new

Heres my C8 Counter Marksman Platform (with C7 Fluted Marksman Barrel)
Shes sporting a silencer and a 550mm Prometheus 6.03 M16+ Length Tightbore and the Madbull ultimate hop up.

Once during the game I abandoned my rifle to charge with a pistol. When i went to retreive it. It took me almost 15 minutes to find it in a small patch of brush lol. Was VERY effective. My Winter whites on the other hand, sticks out in patches of reeds and dead vegetation. Easy Fix, one Sniper tog later... lol

My first attempt at wrapping my rifle. I used two OD scrim nets.
I can manipulate the bolt and the bipod with nothing interfering or catching on anything. The only problem is the mag-well is blocked...
Comments and suggestions are more than welcome!

Looks like it was done up for a photoshoot because you didn't want to scratch or paint your rifle
Get some wear on that thing! lol

You don't need to wrap the whole rifle.
You will ideally be facing your ennemy, so only the front portion should be wrapped to break the shape of the scope and barrel.
Since you are using netting, you can cover the front scope lense too. You should be able to see true.

i have a nice white background up right now, so i thought why not take a couple shots while i have it all set-up. nicer than a bed as a background...i thought people would appreciate a little gun porn...

As far as the wrap, still my first try. i'm sure i will figure out what works and doesn't quickly.
and thunder, how can you tell the rifle doesn't have wear from use? (especially with a wrap on it) just because i baby my guns doesn't mean they don't get used...

I'm hard on my rifles. I use my 249 to break my fall when I go prone, I use long rifles to push through bush quickly, and I break glass with my rifle stocks.
I LOVE the worn, beat up look, guns don't look right if they're shiny and new lol

Just paint the stock, at least. If you don't like it's easy to remove.
Or tape it and paint it, like the British do.
