Well I guess the world isn't going to end. It was a Full metal Kingarm M4, but I sold it to buy a AKMS. I guess old habits die hard.... I'll be back one of these days.

Finally got around to taking some pics.
Long time AK user trying out the AR-15 platform.

I need to cut the "wings" off of the AFG. Also the colours look a lot closer in person between the AFG and rail covers.

Planning on getting CTR stocks for both, shorter barrel for the SR-16, and different optics, just not sure on what yet.

Hopefully my switch to the AR-15 wasn't a mistake.

What rail is that? For a moment I thought it was a Troy or VTAC, but on closer look it is not.

Yep...good quality, and none of the what seems to be mark up with other more chic brands....and still Made in USA....

This rail is also lighter(and cheaper) than most of the comparable style stuff out there(Noveske NSR, Troy Alpha/VTAC rail, URX3, Geissle Super Modular...etc)

Current issue of the Recoil magazine has a comparison on these new skinny rail...

It's going on an old school Systema AEG receiver that's been modified to accept real-steel rail systems. It's going to be a VERY ambitious build on the internals that I will be working on for the next month. Stay tuned in the Upgrades/Modifications section.
