My entire ghillie is made up of cut up strips of cadpat tw personal camoflauge netting and works quite well anywhere cadpat does.

so basically even if I do dye and spray it for a brown/green colour
it still wouldn't be a good effect?

and tell me 'reputable' poster
why would a coffee shop employee assume that you're getting the burlap for airsoft to make a ghillie suit, than ask for his profile name, make an account and look at his picture, than come back out front and tell him [shelledpants] "no . . . no!" and fuck, WHO THE FUCK CARES

you can get burlap from any garden centre for 5 bucks for a couple square meters. Thats what you wrap trees and bushes with.

I bought the synthetic jute thread kit from GhillieSuits.com. However, I noobed the jacket pretty hard and used way more thread than it needed.
It's a goddamn yeti suit now and weighs damn well near 15lbs dry (I don't want to imagine it wet). I used 10-20 strands on each knot when, as I just found out, I am actually only supposed to use 4 or 5. Will definitely have to keep that in mind for the pants and hat! haha Hotter than hell when I tried it out today (25 degrees, sunny, and super humid). I'll be adding additional material to it as well to "leaf" it up a bit, probably burlap material as soon as I can source some locally.

I made mine the old fashioned way - a flight suit, netting and a shitload of burlap.

Does anyone have suggestions on a nice lightweight base for a suit? Trying to avoid a full flightsuit, something more modular or even just netting/cloaking with lots of venting. Suggestions? Comments?
I have horrendous problems with overheating in the summer as my body runs warm and I sweat profusely. No matter how much water I drink I still seem to fade out faster than most guys in the heat. The winter is another story ![]()
