Very sexy! I love the TK grip on a 4.3.

Jimski, how long is the rail on that mount?
I'm assuming the scope is 2x or 3x...Why not put something that will be more useful in your effective distance, like an RDS, holo, or even a 1.5x? I'm sure it's more effective than an average pistol because you appear to be running CO2, but there's no way you're getting the full potential out of that pistol. Your minimum engagement with that is gotta be long;nthe scope is longer than the barrel....must be like, what, 40 feet before you can properly sight a target? Mount a small EOtech on that sucker! Although, knowing you, you're going to match the feel/looks of your AUG, and if that's the case, you've done a great job. EDIT: I'm confused, did you black out half the barrel? RE-EDIT: Upon closer inspection, you sprayed the trigger and barrel, eh? They're gonna show wear in no time, dude. The trigger already is. Try duracoat, or anodization. It's comfortable but heavy...unholsterbale... Quote:
it's the stock paint, it was showing ugly wear so I just polished it, but I didn't bother polishing the front end. And it oxydized anyway, and now it's showing another kind of ugly wear/oxydation, so I don't care and won't be doing any cosmetic job on this pistol that is to be 100% practicality (yes Iknow, the scope doesn't really help, but it's like concept-art at the moment- let me try that ingame, indoors )

Jimski, here's my response to your scoped pistol!!! No, I don't have a mount. Not yet, at least. But when I do install one......
... I won't mount a scope, that's what I'll do. Hell, that with a 6.01 tight bore, all 6 mags, vertical foregrip, and a RDS - I wouldn't even need a god damn AEG for my primary weapon. |

I've converted my kit to dual pistols, with the scoped as a primary, we'll see how it works out tonight...

One question though, how exactly do you play to retain your scoped pistol (sorry, I can't remember what replica it was) when transitioning to your secondary? I enjoy running two pistols, as well - usually not both at the same time - and would be interested to figure out a way of playing with ONLY two pistols, one of which will not fit in any holster that I have (as soon as I get that mount, that is) Edit: checked and it looks like a KP-05. I can't recall your name anywhere in pistol building posts, so I'm going to tentatively guess that it is indeed a KJW KP-05, as versus a TM-to-Kimber custom build. |

you're right!
by chance, I recently purchased a replica bulletproof vest that happens to have big velcro straps I can stuff the pistol in, just like an under-arm holster. It's surprisingly comfortable and totally not planned (also the pistol is attached to a short sling in case it falls) I tried to make a holster for the scoped pistol, but those straps on the vest are just perfect. in the last resort I have a very big dump pouch.

Hmm, interesting. I was thinking of making a MOLLE-/belt-mounted weapons catch, and somehow attaching my pistol to a single point sling.

there's a metal carry clip for the glock that you could probably adapt to fit the front rail on your pistol...
