A confirmed Canadian retail price has not been finalized. If I were to guess, based on the US price and current exchange rate, that guess would be between $450 - $475 CAN (again, ONLY a guess at this time! )

In Canada, what ever the dealer wants, he charges. I don't thing there is such a thing as retail or street price like the US.

Well some companies enforce a M.A.P. but its a bit harder to do in Canada

MAP prevents a dealer from selling below a agreed street price.

You can always sell above MAP. In Canada, some dealers sell way above that.

I think the map price prevents advertising below that price. You can haggle a lower price with them in person

Almost every retailer sells Tippmann products right at Map.

Map is Minimum Advertised price. Dealers can sell for whatever they want "In Store"

The margins are Bleak on Tippmann guns. Great for the customers

Looks like the dealers around me are going to sell them at the $525 mark which seems a little high. Plus still need a tank and airline or you will have to buy the Tippman co2 mags.
Polarstar still seems to be the better deal at this time in my opinion.

As a reference point, Tippmann is showing CAD$ 399.95 on their website. If there was a MAP, presumably that would be it?

Two different designs. The Tippmann from what Matt says since he has hands-on experience is based on the T98 paintball blow back design using 750+ psi. It has blow back kick.

The Polarstar and Wolverine used a more refined regulator/solenoid design at 100psi. Zero kick and lot smoother that uses electronics.

Both need a tank if you want to run HPA. Polarstar is to AEG, where Tippman is to GBBR.

Apologies if it's already been asked, but do we know what kind of hop up system this gun is using? I mean, is it comparable to a standard AEG dial or is it more akin to ICS/GBBR designs?

Or you burn through an entire co2 cartridge in one mag?

That has already been mentioned earlier in the thread. Although the current CO2 mags vent and really blow, Tippmann is aware of that and still intends to sell it as so. I guess its just the lower cost alternative.
But what Drunk_Albertan said is true. 1 12g CO2 cartridge is roughly one mag worth of bbs. This means no tac reloads or w/e with CO2 mags

For get CO2, it is a newbie air source. CO2 can not be regulated and is inconsistent and velocity drops drastically when you rapid fire and useless in cold weather.

Focus more on HPA. I would like to see how consistent the internal reg works. What is the operating pressure of the Tippmann M4?????

Polarstar and Wolverine only works on HPA.

In the world of paintball, CO2 sucks where tournament paintball guns only works on HPA because it is better!
