Really?! I paid $200 for mine about 8 years ago.

Anyway, I would contact some of the vendors and see if they can get you one. Jeff Baker comes to mind.

That one in the classifieds is mouthwatering but the timing is bad. I'll be eligible to spend money like that in a couple months.

I'm prepared to wear a real one but is there a replica Mk II helmet in plastic? I'd assume it would be British, not Canadian. That would be too much to hope for. A light replica would be better for airsoft.
By the way...I bought that TM 1911A1. It's a beautiful thing.

I've seen plastic Paintball helmets for the German and American.. none for British/Canadian. The helmets are oversized so they fit over the paintball mask... they look rather silly.

I wear real steal M1... after a while you don't even realize that you have it on.

+1 to a real Helmet. I've seen a few of the plastic ones bust a little too easy.

+1 Steel helmets aren't as heavy as people think, my Kevlar brain bucket weighs more.

You should be fine... I don't think a British MK2 helmet weights as much as a M1 helmet or a Mk1 para helmet.

I want a full metal gun for realism.....but the helmet can be plastic.

You gotta love airsoft.

Seriously though, British MK II and MK III helmets don't weigh much at all.

Unless you have the neck strength of a baby it shouldn't be a problem.

Real helmet it is. I'll probably make a new liner though. The rubber coated canvas on the original is really stiff and not at all comfortable. Shouldn't be too difficult.
Still waiting (10 days now) for my battle dress from Spearhead Militaria. The same for a few things I ordered from Michel Perrier. Canada Post is killing me. I got stuff from the States faster.

35 bones + shipping. Won't stick to your hair or head like a 60+ year old original.

I'm having a time finding magazines for my KA Thompson. I placed an order with Hero Army Surplus but they're waiting on their supplier. Anyone know where else I can get them at a decent price? It's hard to play with just one magazine. Still coming out this Saturday though.

Try Venture Airsoft. He usually has mags in stock. He can also get in the KA wood conversion kits ($99.00).
