Also any suggestions for metal to metal parts? I'm thinking moly for that.
I use Sticky-G silicon for sealing aplications and Sticky-G Moly for metal on metal

Push the barrel out with a cleaning rod, it should pop out VERY easily. Make sure the hop adjustment is off though.

Everything from there comes apart so easily a 10 year old could figure it out.

Greetings fellow Canadian airsofters, I bought my KJW M4 in early September this year and have fielded it twice, don't get much play out there but so far the experience has been nothing but pleasure.

I wasn't into airsofting but was encouraged by friends, so I started with an used TM M4A1 about a year ago. From field gaming and slowly I developed interests in this sport. I purchased an airsoft magazine (2010 buyers' guide) when I was in Taiwan and really did some readings on the GBBs which were introduced in the magazine. It was sorta between Ino, WE and KJW (for me anyway). Appears that KJW is known for its reliability and I think for myself, I would prefer reliability over other factors (with previous car modifying experience...). Hence I purchased this GBB and passed the AEG to a friend of mine. So this is my main field weapon (well only weapon as I have no pistols).

I am now residing in HK (formally in Toronto) and often visit the concentrated airsoft shops in Mongkok (the locals call it "gun street"). I bought the M4 for $1900 HKD and additional magazines for $250 each (roughly $250CDN and $34 respectively). The magazines were out of stock then I "accidentally" went into a shop 2 weeks ago and tried my luck and bought 2 more. So I now play with 4 magazines and so far the supplies hold up. I wouldn't mind get a couple more. But I need to get more pouches since I can no longer fit 2 magazines in 1 pouch, might look bulky with the soft armour vest.

This is my first GBB and the blowback, for me, is amazing. I really don't know about other brands in terms of ammunition but 30 rounds make you think twice before you fire a shot.

As for modification, for now I wish to keep it stock looking, except finding a way to get a longer and tighter bore inner barrel, maybe converting it to a M16 length. I also have a VSR-10 but these days I tend to enjoy more with my M4 than the rifle.

Sorry for the long post, just wish to share the excitement with fellow KJW users. I wish I can play more but wife won't allow weekly game, maybe once every 2 weeks at best. Will definitely check back the thread more often

cheers!

So I picked up the Mr. Heater refill valve a couple months ago. It was 16.99 on sale, and it's already paid itself off. If you get a BBQ tank from Costco for next to nothing, then it allows you to refill your Coleman or other brand tanks for under .50$ per tank!

Just refrigerate your small tanks, and leave your BBQ tank in the sun to create the required pressure differential, and enjoy cheap refills!

Do you have any links for this? Sounds really interesting! I hate to waste coleman tanks! And I suppose you need a hose to connect both?!

I picked mine up at Cabela's. From what I hear, they are getting harder and harder to find. It is possible to make one, but the Mr. Heater one is VERY well made.

Hey guys, Two of my mags are leaking now. The oldest 8 are still fine, still holding gas from months ago.

I've done my normal leaking-mag tricks, and these ones still slow leak. When I put them under water, they seem to leak from the seal at the bottom of the gas reservoir. The seals aren't physically damaged.

Any advice on sealing them up? If I use some gasket seal, let it cure, then re-gas, will it come loose and plug (the important things) up?

what are you using to lube the rubber seal?

try sticky-G stuff, its thick and really does a good job on mags.

Thats what I used, and it's still leaking, albeit a bit slower. Ive soaked the seals in proper sili oil as well. Maybe ill have to order some mag parts from KJ...

I'm having trouble removing my flash hider. I removed the grub screw from the flash hider, but when I try to unscrew the flash hider counter clockwise, all I managed to do was strip the threads. It's still firmly attached somehow. Can anyone think of a solution? (I hope I'm not SOL.)

On my KJ's,I just removed the grub screw, slide flash hider off, grab brass sleeve with pliers (gently, brass is soft) and turn CCW

On all the ones I've looked at, the set screw underneath is fake, and the flash hider is counter clockwise.

That is correct. On my two kjw m4's anyway.

I found if you use a allen key and place it "through" the flashhider and use it
as leverage it is much easier.
