I'm still pretty pumped about these parts. Are you charging extra for painting, or anodizing?

Well when i get the total and final price based on machine time and stock... and yadda yadda yadda for you guys it will be right in cost, i dont think the price will change much if at all, so far its lookin like the stock hinge, Part 66 might go up a little bit but thats just because of minor 3d machining. again if it goes up at all. and they will all be anodized black.

Here i have some pics, this is the machine i prototype the parts on, its a mill from the '80s and i have to change the tools out manually but it gets the job done nicely.>>>>

Here i have the workhorses of the business, this is what i will use to produce the parts, this one is a fadal 2216 w/windows xp operating system in it. >>>

And here is the other workhorse, Another Fadal, yet a 4020 just about twice the amount of travel.

Aw man. All of them will be anodized black? Are you sure you can't get them in FDE?

you could leave some of them unpainted for desert edition. And then someone like spartan117 could sandpaper it down and paint it himself.

well when i produce them and take orders tell me if you want black or raw... and why would you sandpaper that beautiful art!? i love the toolpaths that the machine makes a cool design. Like i mean look at this part>>> absolutely awesome. plus its a clean finish, so its not like the sanding would make it smoother.

it helps with paint bonding (im sure you know). But if those tooth marks are rough, then no need I guess. And stop teasing us with your cnc'd happiness. I can't wait to get this part.

I may have missed it earlier in the thread, but what material are you using?
