I'm glad to see that your group is growing! BBs are always a lot easier to find than blanks!
So far I have the PPSh, but am working on acquiring an MP40 and Luger.

Looking forward to meeting with some of you in the future!
Our group continues to grow each year and so do our events. We are pretty much doing it all now... Airsoft, Living History and Blank firing. Always looking for more people so come on out to some of our events and combine re-enacting and airsoft. If you haven't checked out our website just click on my link. Join the forum and get in on the conversations. Would like to hear more from experienced Re-enactors.

Ahh! KG Haase!

Good group! I've chatted with a few of the members on Axis History a couple of years back!

I always check soldaten.ca for the even photos, always solid impressions all around.

We certainly worked hard to keep not only our impressions but our conduct in the field as high as possible.
I was fortunate to know Syl Haase before he passed away. The gruppe was originally known as Kg Nord,
but was changed to respect the memory and contributions of Herr Haase...

That's fantastic.

From the sound of it, you've been around a while, we could learn a lot from you.

Hopefully one day I could try my hand at re-enacting, but getting my pal is still ways away, only a plan.
However I have some re-enactment grade uniforms collected, waiting for the moment.

you don't need your pal for the living history. you just need to have a uniform and to come out

When I joined I didn't have my pal...nor do I...I plan on getting it but I will still go out to living history events

Baker, Krieg is one of our awesome members who has been around a long time!
I do believe he means the strict 100% blank shooting battles, not the Living history events such as Long Branch of the Muster

For those you do require your PAL, as you require a firearm to shoot blanks.

Anywho... I spoke with the one fellow from Haase, Steve at the Muster last summer.
Good fellow, I would love to attend one of their events someday, once more things are squared away.
Kampfgruppe; I hope one day (SOON!) you attend one of our events, I too would love to learn what I can from you!

Making sure

And you haven't been around that long, so you can't comment accurately!
There was one LH event and one battle so far, you're still young

If I had it my way, I would attend all LH events as German.. Unfortunately for whatever reason, some are 'biased' and want only Allies.

I don't remember you being around that long, and I don't mean this in a negative way AT ALL.

We had some great games years ago, some at Muskoka as well.

2011 was a bit of a weak year for my comrades and me.
Hopefully things will get back in gear this year.

And your both right.
Living history events are not restricted to people with pal's.
However, I'd feel kinda weird attending an event unarmed.
Sure I could maybe arrange to bring an airsoft gun along as a prop, but its just not the same.

I meant in regards of how many we both have attended.
I missed the first one you were at, I would have been German at that one.

You're still a noob, until you shoot Lee twice... I don't care that it's friendly!

That sounds great. And really looking forward to the two games already posted.
Boche and me will probably be able to drag more of Kameradschaft out to these events. We'll try, haha

Also maybe it could be read like it, but I don't want to come out sounding like there weren't enough opportunities to wear the feldgrau.

Lee did a fine job last year with the group!

Simply, it was a pretty damn busy year, for me at least.

Akos,

1. Stop referring to yourself as not being a Re-enactor... you are a re-enactor. You've got some of the best impressions I have seen... blank firing or airsoft.

2. An airsoft weapon is fine for the Living History events... no one can tell until they take a very close look at the gun. So no excuses! Come out to them this year.

3. And yes it looks like it could be a much better turn out for the Germans this year. Last year events were poorly attended by the Germans. We have a new group of guys and they are eager to get to the field. If we can keep the Germans growing in numbers I can start running Level One events.
