YES! x10000. It looks too womanly...It's hard to take arnie, or gibson seriously with one of those compacts in hand.

The XM8 looks like an incarnation of what people in 1980 thought guns would look like in 2000. Can you say LaserTag?

Actually, I was referring to the fact that an MP5 is an SMG and has an incredebly short barrel for any type of marksman gun, let alone a sniper rifle. Same thing with a G36c. The FPS doesn't matter. No gun stock, other than dedicated sniper platforms, are good sniper rifles. The mechbox can be upgraded. But with a carbine or an SMG, you would need to lengthen the barrel to at least 500mm to make it pointful to get any accuracy at range. So I say what the hell is the point? Carbines and SMGs exist for a reason, just like long rifles exists for a reason. It would be like taking an SL8 and turing it into a G36c. A full size G36 or M16 is a much better platform, again, with an FPS upgrade. Other than prooff of concept, I think turing a short-barreled gun into a sniper platform is retarded.

IMO the best thing about scopes is being able to use them for spotting at range and for seeing where your shots land to be able to compensate for it.

the funny thing about it was that the scope was just as long as the gun itself

Just my opinion, but I don't find that funny, I find that retarded. It's like people who rice out an M4 with a million accessories. You would never see a real gun like that.
